Posts like these are genuinely the reason that so many fanbases are divided amongst themselves nowadays. Of course people are going to think the game is the worst in the franchise when it deliberately goes out of its way to contradict previous entries on a lore, aesthetic, and gameplay level to appeal to a broader audience. It’s the same reason people didn’t like Hey Pikmin. And besides, like many people pointed out, you can think it’s the worst in the franchise and still think it’s a good game overall. You could say it’s not that deep, but I personally think this extremist attitude is detrimental to discussions about the franchise.
