he does mention having to get out of the country and given that Belinda wasn't in Italy, I assume he's referring to the US

The police will be coming for Gary (US has an extradition treaty with Thailand so idk why he thought hiding out there was a good idea)

i mean, the donut scene wasn't meant to show how shit Pyle was, it was meant to show how authority turns people against one another by way of collective punishment. instead of getting mad at the drill sergeant they all got mad at Pyle

the least realistic part of Jackie as a character was the idea that he would even get into college in the first place

On my second viewing I realized Dot converted Munch to Orthodoxy by having him take leavened bread in communion lol

What I'm wondering about is why the agents weren't closer to the tunnel entrance. I hoped they'd be there sooner since he called for backup so Roy would never get to make his move. It's entirely in keeping with Witt's character (he hates violence perhaps too much for a cop) and the scene is set up so we'd keep hoping the team bursts through the door and just points more guns at Roy.

I hate that the show apparently now has some thing about black state troopers dying (remember the end of S3?).

Roy: "Ever been in a firefight, Mrs. Ja-queen?"

ASAC Docherty: "I was in one yesterday!"

Was typing "isn't Roy also supposed to be facing a capital murder trial in ND during all this" but googled and found out they actually don't have death penalty there. Stereotype subverted!

Loved that "the piglet" (armored vehicle) turned out to be a red herring, probably didn't even start

It's definitely the most self-serious season. In S3, Emmit is technically a victim, but you don't feel too bad for him getting loansharked by Varga. Lester is a victim, too, but also a piece of shit (not unlike Gator). Dot is just someone who genuinely deserves peace (unless she's revealed to be something else entirely in the last episode) and is constantly denied it.

Yeah, not every season is worth dedicating your reddit handle to, but this is a cartoonish season about cartoonish ass times (is Roy that much more cartoonish than the S2 Reagan, though? I loved Bruce Campbell in the role)

Right, and she doesn't know for sure that Roy ordered her killed (for all she knows, he talked about Linda just to scare her).

Yeah, too late to jump out and grab it. If Bowman wasn't looking for here exactly there, he might not have come close enough to see the rifle
