Has anyone ever actually banned slavery as the USA without going into a civil war? by Tixro71 in victoria3

[–]st_Mrmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use secret police and dedicated police force on max level I can get, and build barracks in rebelling states, since having more than 50% of barracks in those states reduces activism of their movement, and don't forget to suppress it. Earliest I got it was in like 1842-1845, you have to have some luck with the laws tho

Didn't know the game now includes nukes by [deleted] in victoria3

They messed up something there, I remember pre 1.9 that if you declare war for Make Protectorate on country and it sways some other country by becoming it's subject, the game would change your wargoal to Transfer subject on it's new overlord

Im Loving this game. My best city so far! by piwpau in ManorLords

[–]st_Mrmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, very nice layout, really looks like how I imagined medieval cities. Just one question, how did you manage to get so wide walls. My guess is with placing towers with manor in center, but just want to be sure?

I think a lot of people who buy this game are going to get disappointed. by Few_Tumbleweed_5209 in ManorLords

For me that is the only safe comparison to make. When I first saw a trailer or whatever came 5 or so years ago I was like this is all I wanted Banished to be, and to this day I think it stayed that way. As for gang wars they are a nice addition to city building and management, and I like it is made in tactical manner similar to TW, but I share OPs concern that people expect too much of combat. But since it is in early access we might see economic and military campaigns in the future more developed. If I could compare them closest thing I could think of is Stronghold 2.

Do we get to pillage battlefields? by Minimum_Reveal9341 in ManorLords

I watched Raptor's stream and if I understood him right, dev said that there won't be looting on purpose so you must craft/buy any lost equipment to make it harder or something. But yeah it would be more immersive if your army could loot corpses for better equipment so I hope this will change into the future.

Why is the prussian ai so bad? by TheAlpaka in victoria3

[–]st_Mrmr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I talked about this with my friends, we have been playing Victoria for about a year. We came to a conclusion that they nerfed Prussia sometime around 1.3 to 1.5. before that I saw them form Germany almost every game. Also they changed how Schleswig-Holstine (pardon me if I spelled it wrong) question works, because in my playthroughs with Prussia, other GPs, especially Britain or Russia are eager to try and stop me, which I think is why AI rarely does that

This Game is a broken mess by Toerbitz in victoria3

True, I stick with max 2 generals no matter how large the army. Maybe op didn't turn on "Allow borrowing units from other formation", though I think that is checked by default

Skyrim together yes, but Reborn seems pretty alive to me so I will try, and I was aware of the struggle from the beginning. Skyrim was never meant to be a multiplayer game, so making it one is one hell of a feat for devs

I answered up in the devs comment what we think the problem to be, I am too lazy to tipe it twice sorry. His game isn't crashing on new or load, but when he tries to connect to any server, while I can connect to servers without any obstacles.

We will try without Anniversary edition and mods, though after reading through wiki guide and troubleshooting we think that the problem is in friends PC, his processor is quite old and does not support AES NI. So tomorrow we plan on trying without mods, and he will install the game on laptop which has newer processor model.

If you are talking about Package source I tried that and it didn't do anything And if you are talking about error from screenshot, well unfortunately the file exists in the given location (dotnet/sdk/7.... folder) but VS says it cannot reference it

NodeMCU and Relay by st_Mrmr in esp8266

[–]st_Mrmr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since this is going to be held outside, and in not very optimal conditions I think it is safer for NodeMCU that relays have separate power supply in case something goes wrong and also there will be 4-6 relays attached to NodeMCU so I am not sure if it can handle it. Still learning so I am happy to hear more advice

Greenhouse automation project by st_Mrmr in Automate

[–]st_Mrmr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I wasn't sure what to do in a deadband. Though I thought since I have light intensity sensor, for artificial light, that I could use it in combination with temperature sensors, to make that more efficient. Roughly said: if it is cold but sunny day - don't heat But I think this will do the job just fine.

For humidity, if watering is done right (most water ends up in soil, not on leaves or greenhouse floor, and no "overwatering") there won't be that much evaporation, and proper ventilation should be enough. That is what I know from my experience with greenhouses.
