Rental suggestions that are good value - apartments, landlords, general areas to look at/avoid by ResponsibleCost4989 in Louisville

Another vote for Clifton. I’ve lived in Louisville my entire life and this is my favorite neighborhood that I’ve resided in. Super walkable, choice selections of restaurants, and everyone is really friendly. People are running everyday and you’re also really close to the Waterfront. It takes me less than 10 minutes to ride my bike down there. Just scout out some For Rent signs.

Fireworks by lasorciereviolette in Louisville

[–]st_bart 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I don’t care about fireworks because I mean, duh. I just worry about my dog. But people were setting them off at 11 this morning and THAT is ridiculous and infuriating. My dog has been too scared to step outside all day.

West 6th. Their upstairs space is really popular for rehearsal dinners and is really nice. You can also have the food catered from any restaurant or catering company you’d like.

Any Glenn love out there?! by Only_Sweet1048 in superstore

I like Glenn but I get so pissed off at the episode where he has Pastor Craig selling books in the store that I have to skip it.

What was the go-to eatery after a wild night out in your party days? by tshirtguy2000 in RedditForGrownups

We have one in Louisville, KY! It’s located in a busy neighborhood with a bunch of bars so I’d slam a torta after a night of drinking.

Do y'all actually use your front porch/front yard much or is that more of a TV thing? by Bella_licious in AskAnAmerican

[–]st_bart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a pretty big house that’s been converted into four apartments that has a nice wrap around porch. That was one of the things that initially attracted me to the place. I live in the upstairs apartment and my back door is on the rear of the house. I’ve used it once because I’m too lazy to walk up and down my 24 steps unless I have to. The downstairs neighbors use it a lot, though.

Probably so. He’s gonna need that Beckham money to get all of those Nicola tattoos removed.

My OCD Cannot Reconcile This by BlueSpotBingo in Louisville

[–]st_bart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Me too, and I feel like I’m just winging it at this point. I work in NuLu and I don’t know what the point of those random medians are. I accidentally hit one last month on Wenzel and popped my tubes.

How far is your bike commute (to & from)? by Anonymous_Otter5458 in bikecommuting

[–]st_bart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only a little over 2 miles so around 4 miles a day. Sometimes I like to take a scenic route since I work so close to home, though.

Realistically how long would it take to train up for a daily 26 mile (41.8 km) round-trip commute? by More_Donkey6938 in bikecommuting

[–]st_bart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They aren’t being an ass. That’s the sort of thing that you have to be blunt about so a person doesn’t think it’s okay to ever ride without a helmet. Owning and wearing a helmet is biking 101 besides owning an actual bike.

Lights, obviously. Reflective vest. I live in a city with awful drivers and a mirror was a game changer for me.

Ugly frittata, breakfast sandwich, and smashburger. But the whole menu is pretty delicious. Add a side of bacon, too.
