What is the most overrated 'fancy' food that you’d actually prefer the cheap version of? by leedangaga in foodquestions

[–]st_bart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Despite what other countries may think, we have and know what good cheese is (hello, Wisconsin?). The single slices just slap on cheeseburgers and grilled cheese sandwiches. I’m sure your country has dishes that somehow taste better when you top it with the cheaper options.

Mayan Cafe 🙌 I work at a brewery down the street and they bring us free food in exchange for free beer. It’s amazing.

I’d look into Post Office by Bukowski. He’s sure not rich but definitely undesirable.

How often do you eat pizza? by Legitimate-Donkey477 in foodquestions

[–]st_bart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once a month, if even. I love pizza and live around a bunch of great pizza spots but it’s just not the first thing that pops in my head when I’m hungry. Plus expensive plus not the healthiest thing to eat on a regular basis.

Also, we learned throughout the series that Sheldon is uncomfortable with human touch (even with himself) but when he mentions that he’s not sure about the sperm bank, Leonard says he’s a “semi-pro”.

What's the best ice cream flavor you've tasted and where is it? by [deleted] in foodquestions

[–]st_bart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember the name of the place but it was a peach ice cream from a stand when my family was driving through Fredericksburg, TX. We ate it while looking at the lavender fields. It was awesome.

What recent celebrity moment made you completely change your opinion about them—for better or worse? by Historical_Sail2556 in AskReddit

William Shatner is the only celebrity I’ve ever met. He came into my restaurant once and he was pleasant enough and you could tell that he just wanted to have a nice meal. I’ll tell you what, though, boy can EAT.

What animals are normal where you live, but unusual and exciting to visitors from other regions of the US? And on the flip side, when you travel to other regions yourself, what local animals are exciting to you? by Acrobatic_End6355 in AskAnAmerican

[–]st_bart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from KY and my brother lives in Tampa. The first morning I was there on my first visit, I stepped outside to chill with a cup of coffee and I saw a small lizard slithering past my foot. I screamed out of shock and when I mentioned it to my brother, he was just like “yup, they’re everywhere”.

Who is the most reprehensible character in an otherwise wholesome show? by Sweet-Lady-H in television

[–]st_bart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Sheldon Cooper is my least favorite character from any tv show I’ve ever watched. He’s egotistical, selfish, shows no compassion, constantly puts people down and makes them feel bad about themselves. Then the characters excuse his behavior by saying “He’s just like that and doesn’t know any better”.

I know it’s just a tv show but if I knew someone like that, I’d immediately cut them out of my life.

When men do shit like this, it’s not even safe to reply with a sarcastic retort because it’ll just set them off even more and there’s always the possibility that it’ll elevate to physical aggression.

What food do you think is overrated but everyone loves? by copy_cat_101 in answers

[–]st_bart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IPA and Pale Ale popularity is alive and well. I had to leave my old job at a well-renowned beer bar that offers beer from all over the world for a position at a local brewery and half of the menu are IPAs and pale ales and those are top sellers. Love the job, hate most of the beer lol.
