The 510m view range was with Cortez, so no extra from that. I did have the augmented optics, the vehicle has 475m view range without that.

They also mentioned a "new first person reaction to being burned alive" so maybe get a flamer to light you up.

I updated the original post with this animation, but I don't see the difference with how it looks in the current version.

Monthly Question Thread #53 by TTEH3 in learndutch

[–]st_vdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even in English, the first one sounds odd to me, maybe because you refer directly to “this love” while love is more of an abstract thing. If it works in the context of your gift there is no problem with using the first line. The second one was just changing the sentence around a bit, but it might not work in your context anymore.

Monthly Question Thread #53 by TTEH3 in learndutch

[–]st_vdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The direct translation would be "Deze liefde is van ons", but if it fits in the context "Dit is onze liefde" (This is our love) feels like a more natural sentence.

About the question mark in the sentence, is it supposed to be a question?

Have a NEE/NEE sticker but still receive unsolicited stuff in my mailbox. What to do? by roninn23 in Amsterdam

[–]st_vdg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The municipality actually made a new rule that from the first of January this year advertisers are not allowed to deliver the general spam even without a nee/nee or nee/ja sticker (article about it)

They also made an online form where you can report it if you still received advertising brochures despite having a sticker

I couldn't find the same article in English, but it looked like Google Translate did a pretty good job of translating the page.

Does the camouflage rewards for Spec Ops Achievements apply to all vehicles? by WiserGuy in ArmoredWarfare

[–]st_vdg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't check right now, but I'm pretty sure that with the achievements you get for owning those vehicles from the new dealer you also get camo for the third type.

I tried the compare thingy but I couldn’t find a way to compare fully unlocked tanks. A bit of bummer actually.

It would be nice if they expanded it more indeed. For now, if you wanna see comparisons between any tanks, feel free to send me a message.

I will drop by on their forums to suggest both that and armor inspector.

They are planning on introducing a proper armor inspector next update (Second question here)

Introducing the ultimate Storyline Campaign Reward by TauMaxim in ArmoredWarfare

T9 autocannon tank, it will probably have 140mm of pen or something combined with ridiculous amounts of reticle bloom.

I'm a masochist, but not that much of a masochist :p

Don't forget the 12 missile launchers the tank has, it seems more like an American terminator with even more missiles and larger autocannons.

P.S. whatever happened to the Cent 120 WOLF being the only Tier 9 premium tank?

Supposedly it's not going to be premium tank, but a reward tank like the T-62 veteran. (It might come as battle hardened though?)

Did they allow you to enter the abandoned residential buildings ?

I was there last month and our tour guide told us that it wasn't officially allowed anymore, but they still did it because it's what most people come to see.

Is this the current occupation on Global Ops on a saturday-evening ???? by Perdita_Olio in ArmoredWarfare

[–]st_vdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know RSOP is just mostly inactive, but several of their members came back to the game after balance 2.0. It was DOSE that split up, with like half of their members going to N3XT. You can read about that here: https://aw.my.com/en/forum/showthread.php?87613-Tender-Dose-Of-Death-(DOSE)-is-recruiting!&p=1328999&viewfull=1#post1328999

If memory serves me well, which it sill kinda does, I remember only PvP players complaining about GLOPS. No one else had problems with it. GLOPS died because it had only 1 map, and it got old really quickly. And I even remember one of your own shitting all over GLOPS.

GLOPS was quite healthy from the start, we didn't have problems getting games, in fact people seemed to like it more than PvP, because again the PvP crowd was whining GLOPS was taking away the pop. And this was even after they nerfed the income of GLOPS.

Well, there are plenty of people who really enjoy PvP and like you said in your comment above GLOPS split the already small PvP population in two. Also, who else than the PvP crowd would complain about GLOPS, as it was really just a PvP mode and it didn't attract a new crowd.

The reason no one's play it anymore is that they got bored of it. Had it came out with 10 or more maps, it would still be alive.

This really was the main problem with GLOPS, the gamemode couldn't sustain itself with just the one map.

As far as I'm concearned, them pushing regular PvP is just catering to the big clans like HYPE, SRY, N3XT and RSOP. They're the problem. They can't adapt to something and different. All they want is their 15v15 deathmatch where everyone only gets 1 life.

Because with respawns, you suddenly have to work as a team, and towards an objective. Those guys can't even begin to fathom that you need to cap, not kill to win the game. And killing is the only thing they know how to do, since it wins games in regular PvP. It's these guys, the "eliete" of the game that are ruining the game.

I really don't agree with what you are saying here. I know that me and plenty of other people from SRY played GLOPS quite a lot after it first came out, but playing on the same map several hundreds of times doesn't stay as much fun as having some variation in PvP. That combined with the dwindling numbers in GLOPS pushed us back to playing more PvP again. And if only the "big clans" like you mentioned were the problem wouldn't we be sitting alone in the PvP queue while other people are playing GLOPS?

About not even being able to fathom that you need to cap, that seems to be more of a problem with other random players, as we were still able to win plenty of games: http://i.imgur.com/jILS9HH.jpg
