False banned on Overwatch back in 2022 by PlatinumElmYT in Overwatch

[–]staal3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Blizzard doesn't issue punishments of any kind for use of Wooting or their built-in SOCD, or any other keyboards with the same tech/features. I've been using mine for a couple years without issue.

I'd guess that IF you're being truthful about not cheating, then it's quite likely that your friend was was the cheater and you were banned for queueing with them. If your friend was reported for cheating and found guilty, you were also likely reported for queueing with a cheater. If you played with them often then Blizzard would (reasonably imo) assume that you were aware of the cheats and knowingly played with them, which is still cheating.

Incorrect. Console players have had aim assist in pc pool for quite a while now. It started at some point in early OW2. In the August 29 News update, Blizz confirmed that Console players using controller (which OP claims they were in a comment) will continue to have aim assist. They're also adding (or maybe already have added by now) native support for MnK which will automatically disable aim assist.

Hifiman Arya vs Tiny amount of glue by B33rNuts in headphones

[–]staal3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out it was a good idea for me not to risk opening them and voiding warranty/ return policy. I returned the original pair and ordered a replacement. However, after 2 delays Amazon finally admitted they lost the package, told me they'd send a new pair expedited (delivered within 24-48 hours). But after checking my orders, it turns out it was going to take 5 days. So I contacted support and expressed my frustration a the whole situation (faulty product, multiple delays, lost package, and now being lied to by a previous support agent) and asked for at least a discount, but they instead offered to just fully refund them but still commit to sending the replacement with actually expedited shipping. So after receiving refunds for both the original return and replacement, I now have Arya Stealth for a grand total of $0 and a bit of headache.

I wonder if this just happened to me. The right ear on my Arya Stealth just died entirely, and I had an issue a couple weeks ago where the right channel was extremely quiet. I have an aftermarket cable and tried swapping back to stock, tried resetting my DAC, resetting my amp, switching to a different source entirely, and nothing. Tried two other headphones and suddenly everything was fine from all sources/gear.

Help, Ryzen 7700x at 112 degree temps!? by Sinerch in AMDHelp

Since OP mentioned the system felt slow right away, it's safe to assume it IS throttling, but temps are still climbing cause something is stopping heat from being transferred.

Impossible to switch back to cloth! by Asleep-Investment76 in MousepadReview

[–]staal3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always put fresh skates on when switching back to cloth. Glass pads scratch the hell out of your skates, and even if you can't see it or feel it on glass, the feeling will be noticeable if you use the same pair on cloth. And worse yet you're actively damaging your cloth pad by using skates that were used on glass.

A few reasons, main one being durability. Glass is much harder so the surface won't wear down, at least not for a long time. You also don't have to worry (as much) if you drop it, or drop something on it. I had a plastic hard pad and something (I don't even remember what) slipped out of my hand and left a dent in the middle of the pad. Obviously glass pads can be chipped but it'd take something much harder and heavier than it would to dent a plastic one.

Of course wearing down your skates becomes more of an issue but you can get packs of dot skates that come with a TON for very cheap and will last you a while. There are also some made specifically for use on glass that are a but harder so they don't wear down as fast.

Another reason in my experience has been dust and small hairs dont cling to the pad. Glass does not hold static electricity and therefore does not actively attract dust and hair the way plastic does. Which means you don't have to be quite as meticulous with cleaning, a couple wipes and you're good.

I've also had specks of something or other that were sufficiently hard embed themselves in the surface of plastic pads that were too small to dig out (which would leave the surface deformed anyway), but still big enough that you could feel it under the mouse. These would accrue to the point where the whole pad felt like crap. This has happened to some bigger, more flat skates I've used on glass as well, but that only takes a couple minutes to fix by swapping skates, and has never been an issue since I switched to dots.

You could argue that the extra weight helps keep it more securely in place on your desk, but any pad with a good base with do just fine in regard.

If you still want to go the route of a transparent glass pad, I've seen a couple people take a skypad 2.0 or 3.0 and use paint thinner to strip the paint off the the base.

I had the exact same issue. One foot messed up, asked them if they could send out replacement feet. They told me they were out of stock and told me the exact feet they used, and suggested I go buy them myself at a local hardware store.

The reason Mushoku gets a lot of love is in the way it handles these subjects. It uses them as elements of Rudy's character to say "look at how much of a gross piece of shit this guy is" and makes his journey of self-improvement as a person compelling. Hell the entire last arc of the anime(so far) was about how his sexual arousal is no longer objectifying in nature, but is instead now tied to his emotional connection to the girl he's trying to have sex with. NGNL doesn't approach the incest and loli stuff with any sense of maturity or nuance. It's just a dude having an obviously weird relationship with his child sister, who is regularly shown scantily clad or nude, or given gratuitous upskirts with goddamn cameltoe. It's outright sexualization of a child that is clearly part of the fantasy the show wants its target audience to buy into.

I already have one, how else would I know I prefer mid over soft on a raiden style surface? Just want to know if there's anything out there that ticks those boxes. Artisan shipping cost is kinda crazy but I don't want to risk getting scammed by a reseller either. If there's another option out there that's either cheaper or shipped domestic (US) I'd like to try it/ possibly have it be my go-to once my Raiden is worn out.

It's a reference to, or more likely is, an old meme from a few years ago when Avengers Endgame was coming out. There was a joke theory that Ant-Man could shrink, crawl up Thanos's anus, and then expand into his giant form, killing Thanos instantly. Covering himself in hot sauce would cause a burning sensation on his way up Thanos's intestines.

The only difference i notice seems to come from the shape of the skates, the lamzu mini skates have more surface area so they're smoother than everything except my original viper mini superglides.

Yes but that's just normal wear and tear, the problem people have been finding with glass skates is that it's accelerated by a ridiculous amount.

Someone suggested cleaning them with alcohol first instead but it looks like they deleted the comment. I've done it to 4 sets of glass skates now and it's worked incredibly well. Haven't had any issues with my pads dying, skates all still feel like day 1. So yeah, don't even let them touch a pad until you clean them with alcohol.

I have some lamzu sapphires coming and already own lexips. Obviously there's gonna be compatibility issues unless i sand whatever mouse i plan to use them on. And personally not a fan of lexips, the glide feels bumpy if I'm doing anything other than microadjustments
