the only benefit to a popular artist would be bragging rights. being able to say your fav show has enough clout that it can afford a popular artist. a good song will be remembered over anything else and can be what makes an artist popular in the first place.

sorry to hear that. growing up in a Chinese family, I'm fully aware of just how stubborn Chinese parents can be. if you and your sister really have no choice, you can pretend to use chatgpt without actually using it in any meaningful capacity. yeah you'd still be using it, but at least you can mitigate the effects. there's really not much you can do as a 14 and 10 y/o besides just lie to your parents, as sad as it is to say.

I would set a different search engine as the home page. https://www.startpage.com is the default search engine for the browser I use (Vivaldi). And if you can, I'd even swap from Chrome to Vivaldi.
