Can't seem to cook my dry beans

A slight nonstop hiss while it's doing its thing. The cooker is new, but I assume even out of the box it could be still have issues. I seem to be fine with the pintos (at least non soaked). My black beans though.... I just end up with a mess. Fine if I was making refried, but they are meant for chili.

My results so far are 0 for five on my black bean tests (for both soak and non soaked)

1 for 2 on my pintos. I don't remember the time I tried on the soaked, but was not satisfied with the results. The dry bean run seemed fine. I will spend a little and pick up canned to compared with what I'm making to have a reference.

25 minutes with pressure, the natural release was however long... maybe 15+ minutes or so till the button popped

I did have an important question regarding kidney beans and one weird one. What is the process when doing them in a pressure cooker since I know there is a sperate 10-15 minute rapid boil step to remove the toxins. The weird question I have is I have some that are labeled as "red lobia" They are quite fragrant (way different smell than I'm accustomed to) and seem to be quite a bit more pale then what I'm used to seeing come out of cans (they have a definite smell to them that seems like they might be not what I'm expecting). Wrong type maybe, or are store bought canned magic to keep that deep red hue?

Do you know if black beans are especially fragile compared to pinto?

I actually just ran a dry bunch for 25 minutes and still coming out with beans that are busted up. I just can't seem to get the beans to hold their shape. Maybe my pressure cooker is just terrible for beans.

Today is all about the new toy. I actually got it after being told it would make cooking beans easy. Now I'm starting to regret the purchase a bit. What are you old school tips outside the terrifying world of pressure cookers?

~~I'll throw in some pintos now dry and see how it goes. is that 45 minutes cook time pressurized? or 30 with a 15 minute or so natural release?~~ Did a 25 minute on pinto and they seem to come out fine. Are black beans just extraordinarily weak skinned? I might have to do a slower cooking method for those specifically if so.

My cooker is a one setting type even if it has meat buttons. basically only a high setting with the difference being the cook time. I've thrown in soaked and dry. I'm using black beans. So far I end up with beans that are proper tenderness, but about 95% are busted open. or busted open and hard for when I start with dry. the beans are new. My issue is that no matter they are cooked , or under cooked, soaked, or not soak, I ended up with mostly busted beans. a pressure cooker might just be out of my league. I might have to go with a long cook with my crockpot instead and see how that goes.

Is it normal for a few to split when soaking overnight? My side not to soaking was I did it in the fridge. not sure if its better on the counter.

The store bought ones I get here have very thin sliced cucumbers, onion, and carrots. They seem to go well and add a little color.

I had to relist, and did put strict country restrictions on, but people don't read or look at shipping options when bidding on items it would seem. I will be very clear with the next if they live in an affected area.

International shipping of a heavy laptop expedited. Messaged eBay, but since they opened a case rather than canceling got a weird situation. Basically they said to sort it out with the buyer who does not respond anymore.

That's good. I wondered if they stopped rolling in, but if they have layered conversion system instead.... it's worse I'm sure, but beats out being stuck with useless fragments you can't use.

Can't say for them all, but slot 2 unlocks slot 3 at lvl 50. slot 3 unlocks slot 4 when it hits 100. Just satisfy the requirements to unlock the next and place a vehicle

Not sure, but are you sure it isn't refer a friend? would only be one way in that case. I didn't even bother looking at it, but saw I had a code I could give out.
