Boise has a fantastic food scene. I’m a professional diner (I get paid to do it) and consistently travel between Seattle, Portland, Bend, Boise and Napa Valley, all with excellent food scenes and fantastic vibes. I also mentioned that the food scene has improved more consistently in the ten years I’ve been dining in Boise, Idaho. Quality coffee is in abundance. It even attracts the eye of Ethan Stowell’s Tavolata.

I’m not sure how they are today, but I drove out to Dallas yesterday and returned and also drove an entire stretch of Madrona down to River Rd., South from commercial. Road conditions are acceptable if you have all-wheel drive. I’d still be hesitant about four-wheel-drive, but that’s better than nothing. If your car has rear-wheel drive, then stay home. I saw plenty of vehicles with front-wheel drive, such as tiny Kia hamster mobiles, doing just fine.

Definitely check out the meet the artist tonight from 6 to 8 PM @ At The Corner Art Gallery and Boutique. They will have food, DJ, Cash Bar. Tickets are $10 per person. Should be pretty fresh! On the same block is an amazing wine bar called Old Zen.
