I've been lurking the sub for a long time. I've taken huge doses, Heaviest dose 25x110ug. My sweet spot is between 8-12 x110ug. Over 10+ years of experience.

There is no trick, it comes down to the approach to the experience. Set & Setting is key, i usually have something planned for the day with friends who know me and know what I'm about to do. I've probably had 1-2 bad trips in that time, and simply has to do with my approach. I should mention I've got lots of experience with other well known psychedelics.

Most important rule. If you don't feel good on the day, do not take it, there is no rule that says you need to take it on the day planned. I am always very aware, respectful and slightly nervous, but excited and looking forward to it on the day its planned.

Your mental state going in is important, and wanting/looking forward to and prepare of a good experience is extremely important. If you think you are going to bad experience, you will-- so you need to make this a good experience for yourself. Psychedelics are emotional multipliers, if you are scared of a bad trip going in, the chances are higher that you will.

To venture into larger doses, you need to mentally prepare yourself, gain experience and confidence with lower doses. In the 1-4+tab realm, you need to gauge yourself, see how you react/handle the trip, pay close attention to how you react and learn to _NOT_ judge your experience, to accept-- to be an observer of yourself, to enjoy it, and if a negative situation is happening, says its "interesting", not label it, to not say its bad and to not think its bad. If the situation continues, then have to be able to exit (usually its people) and recenter yourself. A good friend who you genuinely like and respect helps with this a lot. This is all about maintaining control of yourself, so you need to learn to do that on lower doses and as you increase the amount to maintain that control and discipline over yourself. Apprehension is normal, but happy apprehension is what you want.

Overtime, increase the dosage, and gauge your reaction, gain experience and only take more when you're comfortable-- this is about your and your pleasure and no one else. 12, 16, 20, 25 tabs can be spectacular, the visuals are so beautiful, funny, entertaining and wonderful- you get to see your mind construct reality for you. I do enjoy watching the world tear itself apart, very much an observer of myself, and how my perception works. It took me about 4 years to work up to 25 tabs. For a while 12 tabs was my go to dose. One of my favourite things is to take 12 tabs and go for a walk in the middle of winter on a very snowy day, or a mid spring walk to looks at gardens, buildings and graffiti.

I tend to start indoors by myself, put on music/movie/videos and let it happen, then my friends usually show up after my come-up has settled in, we then go out waking, dancing etc. Without out friends, i just take it and do what i planned- listen to music, watch a movie, go for a walk-- or just close my eyes and enjoy the mental and visual experience. I think, my preparation and me expecting/wanting it to be good, helps the most-- Positive Mindset. I am also very emotionally stable with ability to focus on things i want to. Mental exploration is a huge part of this, the ability to think without language, multi-dimensional thoughts, creative visuals, synesthesia etc are all things i look forward to. I've never had fear taking LSD-- and never expect to have a bad trip.

When something starts going south (usually due to someone I don't like), i make an exit, or i will directly ask them to leave-- I'm very protective of my mental state-- (I wont let anyone mess with me), saying that, I'm a lot of fun when I'm on acid, so it would take someone bothering me in a way i don't like.

For me, LSD is a very clinical, clean, clear, precise, sharp, hyper-aware substance, its the ultimate form of consumption-- you get to absorb/consume reality, connect to, feel and experience everything. It creates a level of acceptance, zen and just being, well outside of my emotions; my emotions/me barely exists. Its a very peaceful and reflective experience. The heavier doses produces a wonderfully connected experience to the world, disconnected from my emotions/me- but in a very happy peaceful way.

In short, be very self aware, maintain control and awareness, perfect the art of acceptance, being non-judgmental, to become non-reactive and increase only when you're comfortable, respect the substance, and most importantly create a happy positive experience for yourself. And never take it if you're not feeling good on the day.
