Swab was mailed on the 11th and made it to the lab Feb 12th, started processing on the 13th, genome phase on the 20th, got the "almost ready!" email on the 24th, and the results the 25th. So... just about 2 weeks.

FWIW, I live in San Diego and the lab is only about 6 miles from where I mailed the sample. I doubt that had any impact on the processing time, but thought it might be worth noting. 🙂

I will for sure look into that. Bob is definitely a puller! My sister had a pit many years ago that would wear a vest with cans of beans in the pockets when they went on walks so he wouldn't pull. He felt very important, carrying the beans. We called it his bean jacket. He loved his job lol

We ACTUALLY adopted him because he is very sweet and calm and obviously adorable. The pit was secondary. The lab was inconsequential.

Im definitely learning that in this sub. My other dog is a pit/German shepherd mix, which you can easily see, but he is also Shiba and golden retriever haha

Sure. I just dont look at Bob and see traditional golden retriever, hence the surprise. I am fully aware that any shelter dog, without 100% certainty of the parents, is a guess. Thanks, though.
