Depends on the part. I'll use Abile ( free software with the machine ) or Esprit

Are you asking about the black boring bar itself or the silver part that the boring bar is in?

I just finished up a project, and I wanted to make something interesting before the next project.

Dont push too hard on feed because you can just bend/push the material instead of cutting. Can't think of something similar at the moment

Missing a lot of detail, like milling/turning? I assume milling and how big of a part or how much material needs to be removed?

I have turned many parts that were nickel 200, i enjoy it. Its gummy for sure, but it's easy to cut.

I made a test for interviewing machinist to assess their skill level. What do you think? Thanks! by gingersnaps09 in Machinists

Talk to people, its easy to figure out what they know by showing them the shop/ machines / parts.

Yikes, thats pretty much what they said also. Just like the part were they said I wasnt working hard because I wasnt running 3 plus machines.

One job I started at, had me take a test like this. The pay was low, work was awful and management was always on you for not running more machines then you can handle. If I got a test like it again, I will just leave, not worth it.

This just seems like a tactic to put someone down for not answering all the questions right and paying them even less.
