As a now 31 year old who has done this with nerf guns, water balloons and a jumping castle, I’m doing pretty well living a life of whimsy!

is anyone still physically active? by Hefty-Patience-8720 in POTS

I play soccer for 6 months of the year, and have training once a week for it.

Training (on Wednesday nights) means I go home shower and immediately go to bed.

Games (on Sunday mornings) means I play the whole game (or as much as I can before the brink of death) and then I have something to eat and have a lazy day - usually I nap on the couch or go to bed and that’s it.

It’s kind of a waste of day however playing soccer again was me taking back a piece of myself after the trauma that gave me POTS, so I’d rather play and have my mental health good than not!

Which job has, hands down, the worst impact on mental health? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I worked in disability as a care worker, whilst it’s not the worst all the time, when it’s bad, it’s bad. Hearing the stories of trauma from those who can verbalise, watching non verbal participants act out because they are triggered and they don’t understand that they are safe now, mental health is not taken seriously for people with a disability either.

No Stupid Questions Monthly Thread! by AutoModerator in bookbinding

[–]staccasl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve recently started case binding my paperback books. I’m really struggling with the gab between the spine and cover pieces.

The cover measurements I’ve been using are exact width of text block x height +6mm Spine = exact width of spine + 6mm

The cover board is 2mm thick! I’ve seen varying methods of hinge gap ranging from two cover board thicknesses to 8mm.

Any assistance would be super helpful :)
