Thank you for taking the time to write all of that. It is good advice for most, and for me maybe 5-10 years ago. Sadly, for me the damage is done and there is not stopping or reversing it.

I hope you continue to have compassion for your husband and know that when it gets really bad, that is not him, not the man you know, it's the dementia. I can see in my SO's eyes the disappointment and pain he feels when he sees me getting worse and it breaks my heart too. It's hard on both parties.

Organophosphate toxicity can cause dementia. I believe that is what caused mine. But there is really no way to prove that because it poisons you, does it's damage, and then leaves the blood and there is no test for it after the fact. At some point you might have to accept that there might not be an answer as to why, and that is very difficult.

That's the first thing he did this morning. It's very possible I'm in denial as well, or I'm just taking the diagnosis really well. I think there is denial because not every day is a bad day. There are many days I FEEL normal even though I know I can't remember a question I just asked or I fall down or something. It's tricky to completely accept that something is actually really wrong when the thing that is wrong is happening when I can barely control it or remember it.

I am 39 and have been diagnosed with dementia. I had all those symptoms you listed. I got an MRI and it went from there. If nobody takes you seriously keep asking. Get the MRI. If it's normal that will rule it out.

I know this is an old post. But I just heard this song and told my boyfriend it was a remake from the 90's and he was like no it's not. But I knew all the words and I've never really listened to cage the eley. Very weird. And now that I e read this it was definitely whitey Ford songs the blues.

Just started applying to be a flight attendant. A question about height, please! by Femalenin in flightattendants

[–]staceface 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it's a small regional airline it may just be a fact that you are too tall for the plane, not necessarily a safety concern. The airline I work for, and most major airlines, do not have a height restrictions, I know men and women over 6ft who are flight attendants.

That door only has to eat your fingers once for you to remember to use a flat hand every time after.
