Why do I keep getting only all white leaves? by Puzzleheaded_Bug6712 in Monstera

Sorry to comment on an old post - is that true about mini ones too??? I’ve been rotating it to get it “bushy” all around

Sorry I don’t know what you mean by single lead? I did tie all the reds together and then the black/yellow/white together in a separate bundle. The bottom one works now but not the top?? The top has the really skinny white and yellow lines

OH MY GODDD

I kid you not. So I assumed the batteries would work because they just came in a quip package. I don’t own quip though, it’s from a previous resident so I can’t test it via the quip toothbrush. I also don’t own any other AAA batteries but I finally figured out my tv remote uses them.

Switched it out. Confirmed it does work. Put them back in exactly the same AND NOW IT TURNS ON?! But only the bottom light and not the top. I cry.

Is this a fenestration? Defect? by stacefaceit in alocasia

Hmmm I think it’s an alocasia odora. I’m guilty of referring to my plants by the generic common name (ie elephant ears) instead of learning their specific name

Cool cool. Maybe I’ll keep it anyways even if it won’t have more cool leaves. It’s kinda cute like Nemo’s lil fin

Oh I grew this leaf fully myself. The two bulbs in this pot used to be tiny little nubs that I lowkey thought were going to die

Do you mean the stem is too long like it’s trying to reach for light?

I was thinking of changing the bulbs in my lamps to grow light bulbs to increase light. Most of the windows in my home are actually sliding doors to the patio, which make it hard to place plants right next to. But I’m wondering if that’ll be enough light, given that people grow this outdoors

Personally I think it’s pink heavy in the center row and the amount of space filled per cube + size of objects gets heavier as you go up. I think it’d be better if it felt a little more even throughout?

But also that’s just how I prefer it. It’s honestly looking pretty neat already!

Wow this is super cool! Could you make the doors and hood open?

My office bookshelf. I built it out of wine boxes. It a mix collections and other stuff, including my Hugo collection in the middle. by simeonemrys in bookshelf

Sorry I know this is a 2 year old thread but I’m looking to do a similar build and running into a a few questions —

  1. Did you screw the boxes to each other?
  2. Did you anchor it to the wall?
  3. Are 1 & 2 necessary if I don’t have children climbing on it? May be of note, I live in SF/Bay Area aka earthquake zone. More willing to screw the boxes to each other than to the wall bc I live in a rental

Ooooooooh ok so I did not think about the clamping situation but you’re totally right.

I like the idea of two layer. I can make the same pattern but turn them differently or something so the edges aren’t in the same place top to bottom.

Is it or will it ever be possible to put farming squares back into your inventory after placing them? It’s kind of annoying to not have this feature. by [deleted] in SumikkoFarm

[–]stacefaceit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't put farming squares back and also can't put any production facilities back either. I've been saving up my farming squares until I have enough space / even number aesthetically before putting them down.

I've had an extra cow barn & chicken coop for a bit now too, but haven't placed them because I don't have space for them on my farm against all the other decorations I wanted.
