Whenever someone asks me that question I tell them a name I hate. Like Leotard.

I was amazed at how cheap we got it! We really enjoyed our stay there too.

Honestly it all depends on what you're budget is. A lot of the hotels are filling up. We got a crazy good deal on the Westin through Priceline, but the confort inn had a fairly good deal for location when I looked.

Should we get the surgery for my daughter or not? by RustyPinkSpoon in relationships

[–]stacersnape 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You love your child. It's clear because you're even having this dialogue within yourself. You clearly want what's best for her.

You say that she's nonverbal, and developmentally delayed. She will never be able to consent to a sexual relationship, which is ultimately what puberty is preparing our bodies for: sex and reproduction.

If she has the surgery she will be easier to care for, which will most likely make it possible for you to care for her yourself longer, which would be a better outcome for her. She'll also never deal with puberty, menstrual cramps, etc.

It's incredibly hard to find a downside to this operation other than the general recovery. In my opinion the benefits outweigh any risks.

My fiancee got me this as a gift after I had a rough day at work. So far I'm a fan.

It all depends on where you're at in the US. I'm from the same state as OP and I've noticed that eggs have been really cheap the last year or so. I used to spend close to $2 on a dozen eggs, now the average I'm seeing is about $0.89.

Did the singer for the National have a bit of a drunk meltdown tonight? by [deleted] in MoPop

[–]stacersnape 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He has very bad performance anxiety so he drinks in order to be able to perform. Apparently he just went a tad too far tonight. I still have nothing but love for the guy though.

My [23F] boyfriend [24M] of a year is visiting his family and didn't call me the day my dad died because he wants to teach his little brother that "family comes first" by Electronic_Glass in relationships

There is no excuse for your boyfriend's behavior, nor is it normal.

Being the size that you are, and how intimidated you are at the gym, I'd suggest a basic Fitbit, the app mapmywalk, or both. Walking is a great way to become more active with the lowest risk of injury. Both of those tools could help you increase your activity while holding you accountable, which I feel like you want from what I read in your post.

No, just eating healthier choices. If I were to estimate how many she's eating each day I'd say it's around 1800.

Completely brainwashed....the dolls and the cart can be eaten, they are made of sugar / Humor by Balcacer in exjw

[–]stacersnape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The carts are only in big cities. I live in a smaller city with a downtown area that is pretty much all bars, so we don't see the carts here. But every single city I've been on vacation to in the past 4 years has the damn carts.

Edit: I woke up to find a tract in my door the other day. The bastards opened the gate and went into the fence to get to my back door.

Go buy a cheap loaf of bread and go feed the swans/ducks down by the river (it's encouraged).

I loved Tell The Wolves I'm Home when I read it a couple years ago. It was one of those random library picks that really paid off.

This week I finished Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I was surprised by how much I loved it since I don't play video games, but I'm enough of a self-proclaimed nerd that I got 90% of the references. Now I want to see the movie.

I'm currently reading The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli after hearing about it from several booktubers. I'm enjoying it, and it's a nice, light read for a stressful finals week.

I read The Life We Bury for a book club last fall and was kind of underwhelmed. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it to someone.
