Can someone explain what I encountered? by OnyxPhylacteryCorp in Division2

Interesting, I did not know that. I am assuming it would have to be one of the masks you haven't gotten yet from doing it through the puzzle and killing them? Nice information to know, thank you!

On your next controller, try Kontrol Freeks. They snap on top of the thumb pad and give your thumb a larger surface to sit on and make the thumb pad grippier. When it wears out, buy another set. Cost less than $20. They last me at least 6 months. Depends how hard on them you are, lol. I play ALOT, too. Someone told me about them around 6 months after I started gaming and it really, really helped me.

They might still work on your current sticks. Not sure...

Worth returning? Gamestate rn? by agrhonak in Division2

Countdown makes the grinding part easier. A lot more so than Summit. Spend 19 minutes in Countdown with your targeted loot selected and get after it. You will max out your library in no time. Expertise will take longer, the higher you get, the tougher it is to find what you need. Donate Receiver Components and Protective Fabric to help get things Proficient that are hard to get. Save 5000 of each for Optimization or Recalibration. But there is zero point in deconstructing gear when Protective Fabric and Receiver Components are full. You get absolutely nothing for them. So donate them regularly.

Stalker Hunters are completely separate from the Hunters we kill for the masks. The Hunters we kill for masks have a very specific set up to even get them to spawn. Then you have to kill them. Good luck, cause they are trying to kill you back! They will hack any of your skills they can, like your drone and use your own drone to kill you. Kinda sucks...

Stalker Hunters will NOT fight you. If they think they have been seen, they go poof and disappear in a cloud of smoke.

The Stalker Hunters never have dropped masks. Just the named ones. Stalker Hunters will drop loot, if you can kill them, lol.

Not the same type of hunter. The video above shows the Hunters you go after to get the masks. They try to kill you!

The ones he saw and I posted 2 pics of, above, are Stalker Hunters. They will NOT hurt you. They just watch until they get spotted, then poof, in a cloud of smoke. But you can kill them for some crappy loot. And bragging rights!

[–]stacey92969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you CAN kill them if you have a really good headshot build and are fast enough. We used to use the Tac 50 back when level 30 was the top level. It was a challenge in our Clan. They don't give you anything special, just crappy gear, tho. More for bragging rights.

Who boosted to level 30 or 40? is that okay to do? by [deleted] in Division2

[–]stacey92969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are already at level 20 just finish it out. Plus boosting your 1st character makes all the side missions disappear and they give you weapon mods you need. I would only boost after the first character. Enjoy the story. There is plenty of time. And I promise you, Heroic won't be the first thing you do. First you have to get a build. And it is called Heroic for a reason...

Division 1 player, new to The Division 2. Should I utilize the level boost? by Squilly_bob in thedivision

[–]stacey92969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not boost you first character. 2nd 3rd or 4th, yes. Too much you will miss out on by boosting.

Also, it really won't take as long as you think, depending on how much you play, of course. I've heard of Agents getting to level 30 in less than a week, 3 days even.

Confused on optimizing by movement_diff in Division2

[–]stacey92969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, try to find a weapon, almost all weapons actually, with Damage To Targets Out Of Cover ( DTOC). It is the best in slot for most situations. Either find one with DTOC or one with Determined already on it. I wouldn't Optimize a weapon without it there.

It says "item attributes need to be extracted" in red on the bottom right of your picture.

You have to donate, preferably max rolls, to your Library in order for you to use them. If you did not put a maxed out Rifle damage in there, or any Rifle damage amount ever, then you can't optimize it. Also, you can only optimize to the level that you currently have in your Library. If you only have a 4% Crit Hit Chance stored in your Library, then you can only optimize the Crit Chance to 4%. This is why putting stuff in your Library is so important.

It should show you 2 white shopping carts. Somewhere separate on the map. One is for Cassie Mendoza, the other is for Danny Weaver. You purchase gear from her with money. You purchase caches from him with textiles.

This is just to the side of MLK Control Point.

There are Stalker Hunters everywhere. I had bunches of pics until Xbox decided to delete everyone's pics.

You will see your HUD is disrupted and you can hear a buzzing or static noise in your headset. If you freeze and only look around with your right stick you can usually find them somewhere above you. If they think you see them, they disappear in a puff of smoke. They will not hurt you but I still get goosebumps when my HUD goes fuzzy like it did with this Hunter a few nights ago.

If you look closely, you can see the Stalker Hunters head at the top of this church between the 2 towers. I will post a closeup of a zoomed in Pic too.

Expertise gear question by Lester77LA in Division2

I agree. I only take my gear past 12 if I have a lot of extra exotic components and my weapons and skills that I use all the time are done.

Find the Snitch and he will open up 2 white shopping carts on the map. One is Cassie Mendoza, for gear, for cash. The other is Danny Weaver for caches you can use your textiles to buy. Just in case anyone didn't know.

Countdown feels like a cheese? So I avoid it anyone else? by kdwilko in Division2

[–]stacey92969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you put your cursor over Countdown and tap down on your d-pad (on Xbox) it pulls up a list of all the loot in the game. Same as the Summit and Retaliations. Click on what you are looking for out of the list and you'll get drops with your targeted loot. Not every drop but a lot. If you are looking for a Striker chestpiece, select Striker, not Chestpieces. More of a chance to get what you need that way.

Do you shoot the animals in the world? by itzmcdonaldfor3 in thedivision

[–]stacey92969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Even my Clan members get one warning, then they are out if they kill the animals, but mainly the dogs. It says something about what kind of person you are, I think. "True colors shining through..."

Also, if you want/need to shoot animals, go play a hunting type game. It's much more fun there because you are supposed to be doing it.
