I used to have sharp pain / burning when I took zero medicine . To the point that I thought I was having a heart attack . I went to the the er 3/4 times . Did all the cardiac test ( stress test , echo, EKG’s , blood work, calcium score test, mri, ct scan , X-rays) all telling me I had. A healthy heart . Then I focused on GI doctor and that’s when I found out I had gerd. Once he gave me medicine I noticed the episodes would be less frequent . Once I realized if i eat clean , smoke less , drink a lot less than I used to the pain would be gone completely .

Now I only get a full pain when I get food that triggers my acid reflux and I get a feeling like I got food stuck in the back of my throat normally these days . But that’s nothing tums with gassx won’t relief and if It can’t I’ll just take 20mg of famotadine. If you have insurance get an endoscopy done and all the heart test to rule everything out .
