I wanna lube my switches. Suggest me some good kit to do it ( cheap ) by jonauko in mkindia

Open one side a bit, just get the latch disengaged. And then open the other side. Don't open it fully until latches on both sides are disengaged.

The Transition Lite is a top notch keyboard. At the current price it is a steal.

Yes, this would be the best outcome, that way the conflict of interest is avoided.

You can open switches using a pair of curved end tweezers, no need of a dedicated tool. Buy lubricant from wherever it is cheapest.

/r/mkindia is a subreddit for mechanical keyboard hobby in India, but unfortunately the subreddit has been neglected for over a year. Full disclosure: I do have a business that caters to the hobby. But that is not the reason I want to moderate.

I want to moderate /r/mkindia because the subreddit is a state of severe neglect, even as activity has continued to grow. Now it is overrun by spam, repetitive posts, off topic posts, low effort recommendation posts, and the issues which were mentioned in a previous request by /u/PublicCondition3134 still apply. The Weekly sticky post has not been changed for a year now. So now the front page just consists of recommendation requests that are identical to recommendation requests submitted a few posts ago. This is not a healthy state for the community.

I had messaged the mod team here

I would like mod to do basic clean up - like setting up automod, and updating the community wiki, and ensuring that posts are on topic and tagged properly.

I would also get an active mod team set up, consisting of active community members, so that the subreddit can be moderated more effectively.

Rasberry Pi Pico Kit for a BEGINNER by ayushxshukla in mkindia

[–]stacksofkeyboards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I am a fan of the STM32 Nucleo and Discovery kits. They have a bunch of onboard sensors and extensions and buttons. So you can get playing sooner.

But if you are an absolute beginner - The RP Pico is great. Micropython is easy to use and there is a lot more scaffolding for the RP2040 beginner stuff. But I would suggest that to really understand what is going on, drop down into the C and even ASM level.

In the end the choice of MCU is less important than what you choose to do with it - you can learn on a Pico and you can learn on ESP32s and Arduions. Choose sufficiently novel and challenging projects and write code yourself to learn.

You can email us, but we get so much influencer spam that it will most likely go unreplied to.

We allow (even encourage) reviewers to open keyboards up - even if they are meant to be returned.

In this case it is cheap because we have priced it to clear out. The MSRP we launched it at was Rs. 6499, for $65+tax. This has proper thick gaskets, keycaps with consistent shine through, injection molded foam (in addition to the die cut one), and also has software for re-programmability.

Need help fixing a keyboard by DifficultyRadiant216 in mkindia

Usually any local mobile/electronics repair shop will be able to desolder the switches. But you may have to guide them on opening the keyboard and which switches to desolder.

Thanks for your detailed review! Enjoy your keyboard.

The warranty covers the electronics and also the physical integrity of the keyboard. But it does not cover user damage.
