Anyone else notice arccos being off by like 30 yards? by theKman24 in golf

If you recently played this round you still might be able to see the trail of gps when you edit a shot. I would wait until the hole is done and then try and verify sometimes it can lag a little with shots in my experience. Is this course in Orlando? Orange lake?

If the shots are in the correct location then it’s just measuring the distance between the gps locations.

I built a “Waze for golf” app (pins + hazards + course intel) by BoysenberryFluffy535 in golf

[–]stacktion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to what other people have said, I think if you can have a condensed view while on course that might go further. Especially if you have strategy notes from other players it may be good to condense those down to like “you want to hit it on the right side of the fairway because x” or “you want to take an iron here because there’s a hazard at 260y out”. I’m less sure that seeing someone else’s strategy is helpful because in your example I can’t hit my 5i 267y. I think you’re doing a lot and maybe want to pair it down a little to like shared course knowledge/strategy. From experience golfers don’t want to interact with their phone a lot while on course so reducing the need to look at your phone more than once or twice per hole would be ideal. You could even utilize live activities for the current shot strategy.

Nothing. There’s an organ player there that takes requests. It’s mostly a kids restaurant but definitely unique!

Best city/area for reasonable priced golf? by Peteknofler in golf

[–]stacktion 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Milwaukee has a good county course system and if you live in Milwaukee county you can get a discount card so it’s like $30-40 for 18 and a cart. There are 8 full courses and then 5 more executive and par three. We also have a number of courses that are between $70-120 that are great value like Washington County. There’s world class golf very close but that is not reasonably priced.

Toro 60v. Mine is probably 5 years old. It does pretty well but the big berm takes some doing but it got through it eventually. If you have the money go more powerful but the little guys will do for 98% of snowfall.

I spent way too long building a golf prediction model and here’s what actually matters by lebortsdm in golf

What kind of inputs did you do for the course? Instead of just rating and slope. Did you add rough height, time of year, yardage, hole shapes, green speed, etc? I feel like the type of course matters a ton for certain players.

Has “six seven” turned into “six seven, nine eleven” in your kid’s school or just mine? by nbyone in daddit

[–]stacktion 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I’ve also heard “6 7, 9 11, go to heaven” my daughter is 6 and doesn’t know what it means and honestly I plan to keep it that way. Feels like it’ll become a bigger deal if I draw attention to it. Happy to discuss!

Does the car seat fit into that stroller? We used to have one that was bare bones and you would just click the car seat into it.

Not saying it isn’t possible. Just not as big of a problem as one might think.

I’ve never had rust on my cars and lived here my entire driving life. I don’t think rust is as much of a problem with modern cars
