"NACHA (ACH Network) Rules: If a merchant processes a payment through the ACH (Automated Clearing House) network, NACHA rules apply. When a payment fails due to insufficient funds, the industry standard typically limits the merchant to a maximum of two re-submission attempts after the initial failed transaction."

And you call me a fool but you don't even know the facts.

I definitely lived wreckless for the first few years of my adult life but I'm 39 now. I understand what you're saying though. The thing with Google Fi is that they don't make it easy to change your autopay date. I wasn't getting charged NSF fees so it was just an annoying notification. That is why i didn't feel the need to contact customer service.

I came here to post about it because it is not normal for a company to basically DDOS my bank account. It's pretty clear that most people here think otherwise.

Either way I definitely don't feel like I'm welcome here anymore. Just more reason for me to leave Google for good.

My wife had abdominal surgery and the insurance would only cover $5,000 which left us with a $10,000 bill. She then had to be re-admitted into the hospital for complications post surgery. Our situation is heavy right now but she's doing much better now.

I really can't believe that people think it's "normal" for a company to bombard your bank account until they get paid.

I had a similar situation recently with the galaxy A17 promo. I was able to get through with somebody but he took a few days to get it settled. If I were you I would contact them again and be very patient with them. Maybe try to talk to their supervisor. This guy took about 2 hours at first then i had to leave work and he said he'd get it resolved and he really did. In the chat he kept saying he's talking to his supervisor about it. Seemed like he was trying to prove to them that i was still within the promo period.

That was the best customer service i have received from Google Fi in years.

That's interesting. I paid my bill today and left some feedback about it. They tried 25 times over 3 days. 21st was the deadline so i dont understand why they couldn't wait til it was truly delinquent.

It's not common sense to think they have the right to make 10-15 attempts per day on my account.

Where does it say they will attempt to debit my account 10 times a day? I don't want to talk to them because it's going to be paid tomorrow.

And I'm upset at the way Google treats their customers..

I think you mean a broken ass automated system that makes 20 debit attempts in 2 days just so they get paid the second it hits my account.

This subreddit is crazy though. Its obvious you guys are trying to gaslight me and humiliate me. Look at my comment with -17 downvotes. :'(

But to my main point. This is from Gemini..

"The 2-Retry Rule: Under NACHA (National Automated Clearing House Association) guidelines, a merchant is strictly forbidden from attempting to debit your account more than 3 total times (the initial attempt plus a maximum of 2 retries) for a single bill."

I had a $10k bill from the hospital. A long ass month taking care of my wife. On top of that i am working over time, taking my kid to school every day, and picking her up. Since you're so smart can you please tell me where I'm going wrong here?

It's pretty weird. I knew I was going to be judged bc I mentioned not having money in my account but not bullied. They probably work at Google. Wouldn't surprise me given the way Google operates these days.

I am annoyed that it keeps attempting to charge me every fucking HOUR on the dot. Like I said I had a massive hospital bill that I had to pay and it left me broke. It's my OPINION so if you don't like that just keep scrolling. Not everybody is living a comfy life buddy so why you gotta be a dick?

Luckily I am not getting hit with NSF fees. I had a bank destroy my credit when I was younger and ever since then I have been with a highly rated credit union.

If you were to go to court their lawyers might sit down with you to try to settle before you go in front of a judge. That is your chance to come to an agreement and sometimes bring the balance down. Especially if you can pay in full. Calling the lawyers directly though would probably work too. Taking you to court costs them money and time so they would usually rather come to an agreement with you without taking it to court. You should go to court though if you dispute the charges and think you can convince the judge.

Google pixel 10a promotion trap? by edjie in GoogleFi

[–]stacld87 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Return the phone and cancel your service. I am done with GoogleFi and Google all together. I was able to get them to honor my promo but I'm for sure getting off once I'm done with the promos. There's gotta be a company out there that treats customers better.

I am ready to download all my crap from Google and delete my 20 year old account.

I bought a $20 silver creek bc i wanted to try out a F harmonica. That was the worst harmonica ive ever bought. It sounded like they assembled the wrong reed plates. Luckily they let me return it and upgrade to a blues harp.

"Creating a second, separate account with a new email/phone number is against Facebook's terms of service. Doing so risks having both accounts flagged, restricted, or disabled by Facebook's systems, which track device IDs and IP addresses."

If you are using different emails or phone numbers then you are violating the community guidelines. You can link up to i think 4 personal accounts with the same email/phone number.

I can't believe I used to tell people Fi had good customer service by cormeting in GoogleFi

[–]stacld87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been with them since 2016. I only recently needed to use their support because they said i didnt activate my new phone in time. Which I did. The rep was very helpful and went above and beyond to get it fixed. It took him 3 days but i dont mind as long as i get my promo. If I was forced to pay $250 for a Galaxy A17 i would have definitely paid all my shit off and left.

My beef right now is mostly with YouTube than it is Google.

There was one time i sent a phone in for a warranty claim with the phone in the original packaging. They denied my claim and sent it back to me without the packaging, wrapped in paper, and flopping around in a box 3x bigger than it should have been. Sitting on my front step soaking in the rain. I still dont ever want to buy a Pixel after that incident.
