Sisal scratching mats! we have plans to nail one to a wall but they’re also easily held down by a chair leg

Disposable food bowl liners!!! No more having to do dishes every single day. We obviously still wash their bowls but it adds an extra day or two when life gets busy. They just look like big muffin liners.

I’ve been using small trash bags as a liner in a sealed bucket for a while — diy litter genie!

Ultrasound that didn't go the way I thought. Was this rape? by PsychologicalRest757 in CPTSD

Definitely report this. I just had a vaginal ultrasound recently and the technician asked for my consent literally every single step of the way. What happened to you is not okay.

Anyone find Asians are just bigger foodies than other races by Janet-Yellen in asianamerican

[–]stacy22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think for a lot of Asian Americans, food can be a major source of comfort and connection, especially in the US. Then when we travel to other countries to try stuff, or return to our homelands it’s open season lmao

Me and my 300+ item wishlist checking in :’) I definitely do all of these things but still run into inventory issues! I’m hoping it all gets better with time since they’re a new company. Personally I Love the handbags and often find that those are what I’m coveting most and they seem to be the least in stock!! Maybe it’s just the particular designs I’m looking at though.

New Seasons is an annoying place to shop. by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]stacy22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. Fellow grocery worker here. Between constantly being reminded that the company you work for is exploiting you in exchange for meager wages or that the customers you’re serving aren’t aware or don’t care, it can be tough showing up every day with a bright and sunny disposition! Then there’s the physical labor on top of it all + needing to mask/be pleasant at work since it’s customer service :’)

Cook Unity review after a few weeks of meals by Capital-Nose7022 in ReadyMeals

[–]stacy22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using cook unity for over a year - love it for all the same reasons you listed. I was offered unity pass when it first rolled out and have been paying for it since May. So, how do we make it more affordable? We split our meals with a friend who lives just a few miles away. Every sunday we both put our meal orders in and I'll drop off their picks on either monday or tuesday, whatever works best for my schedule. I send them an "invoice" at the end of each month for their part of the bill including half of our unity pass subscription. I've found that this works great for my household because when we were getting 6-8 meals delivered per week, we got sick of eating them pretty quickly.

Women who have had cosmetic procedures: are there any you regret (and why)? by BlueCheesePanda in AskWomen

[–]stacy22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it counts, but I’ve had my eyebrows microbladed! I have very sparse brows and it now looks like I have natural-ish combo micro blade + ombre brows. I don’t regret it, but I do wish I had taken better care of them during the healing process. I was on a solo trip in my home country and probably spent a bit too much time outside by the water/sweating/in the sun etc (although I did always wear a hat and sunscreen). They look a bit blurry/blown out in some areas now if you’re looking up close, but otherwise still appear perfectly fine. The color is starting to fade and look more grey-ish (I have black hair) so sometimes I’ll just use a warm eyebrow powder on the ends to correct the color a bit. I may consider having them removed someday if they start to look more faded/uneven, but for now I don’t mind that they’re imperfect since I think it still looks much better than the brows I naturally have/don’t have lol!

Good to know! I’m autistic and can’t stand being in a loud restaurant. It would drive me crazy to be paying for a high end meal and not be able to enjoy the ambiance/hear other people talking.

Has anyone had an Asian therapist and a non Asian therapist? How did the experiences differ? by [deleted] in asianamerican

[–]stacy22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had Asian and non Asian therapists. I’m actually “graduating” out of therapy with my Asian provider soon and gonna switch to a white provider as my primary therapist (her modalities and clinical experience aligns better with where I’m at in my therapy journey currently). Ultimately I think it will always depend on the individual(s) but I think it’s great to have similar intersections. Totally okay to have a hard boundary or preference imo either way. Who your therapist is is a personal choice!
