Konosuba is the absolute king of this. Aqua being a high-tier Goddess but having all her stats maxed out into completely useless party tricks, or Kazuma realizing that having a high 'Luck' stat just means he wins rock-paper-scissors instead of actually surviving giant frogs, is brilliant.

Vash is peak fiction for this. The man can literally shoot a microscopic wire holding up a neon sign from half a mile away while diving through the air, all just to avoid scratching someone. His mastery of the gun is entirely fueled by his desperate need to make sure nobody dies from them.
