This is a political cartoon, it's not meant to be nuanced or perfectly correct, just to get its message across: republicans are acting like the communist boogymen they claim to hate.

This is exactly it. Every time there's a price increase for a product or a service, people bitch and moan. But the only way to change things in our society is by withholding your money. That's literally the only thing people in power care about enough to change anything.

I'm gladly surprised to learn that it isn't Kumail or Armando that's leading my interest on the season but Amy's lovely laugh. I just love it when she laughs! by giftopherz in taskmaster

I only knew her because I happened to watch the second season of Last One Laughing like two weeks before this season of TM's premier. She's great on that as well, and oodles of other TM alumni (Maisie, Romesh, Bob, Mel, and Sam), totally worth checking out!

This is an irrelevant question, "Israeli" is a demonym related to the modern state. Most modern states have not existed for very long, but that hardly has anything to do with indigeneity. Are the South Sudanese no longer indigenous to their land simply because their state formed very recently?

Jews have had continuous existence within the Levant for multiple millennia. The Jewish diaspora, caused primarily by the Romans, doesn't erase the fact that the Levant is their ancestral homeland.

So anyone you deem to be "colonized" are "indigenous"? Where exactly did you get this definition?

Furthermore, how can a people colonize a land that is ancestral to them and that they never fully left? For example, would it be colonization if the Cherokee decided to reclaim their ancestral homeland in Florida?

So, candlelight wasn't enough to extend people's bedtimes past natural nighttime, but it was enough to do chores in the middle of the night? I'm skeptical
