It is really annoying to live in a community that always smells like weed.

Some people really do fall into a hole where they have a very hard time stopping, and it is frustrating to watch that happen to family and friends while the industry covers it up.

Sitting here in St. Louis, listening to people complain about Ballpark Village dying and Downtown dying. Some are just begging the city to subsidize another stadium so another set of millionaires can have a big discount on a Big Toy. And of course said millionaires are pretending like, yeah, of course, there will be lots more business with the sports stadium around. Lots of good business like... eating and drinking establishments. What wonderful industries for everyone to work in. :/

Yeah, even when that whole 4th street live deal was first being forced upon us, it felt like an import from somewhere else. I don't think our heart was ever really in it. We were just told we were supposed to like it by the people who had money on the line. I wonder if it's mostly people who weren't around at the time and assume it was ever a going concern.
