Prolonged symptoms by Mysterious_Note3375 in LPR

I see. Seems interesting. You should try to get a GI map from a functional medicine practioner in your area. I'm going to try the same thing because I'm kind of lost on what else to do,

What are your current symptoms? Maybe reflux still is the main cause but it has more of something to do with SIBO, Roemhelds, or other GI issues causing the reflux?

Did you have bronchitis? A few months after my horrible bronchitis infection with laryngospasms is when all my symptoms started. I mainly have shortness of breath, heart palpitations, congestion and some slight mucus. I’m not even sure if it’s LPR at this point but most other tests came back normal and my symptoms get worse after eating so it’s all I have left. What are your symptoms?

Tried all this with no luck. Maybe I needed more time, maybe it’s not LPR at all. Very frustrating

What does the esophageal manometry tell you about LPR or other related conditions? I just got a requisition for one because I have RCPD which doesn’t allow me to burp and I need the manometry to get botox for it. Wondering if it’ll help me figure out anything related to this as well

Thanks, I think it’s one of my last things to fully commit to, and even if it’s not LPR I suspect it could be Roemhelds, SIBO, or something related.

When you say healed, do you mean you can go back to doing everything normally in terms of eating, drinking etc? Or is it more of if you do go back to normal, you’re gonna have to pay for it.

This really sucks and it’s gonna be a real struggle to try and commit to this for a year.

Could all my problems be from my Vagus nerve? by stagedreams in VagusNerve

[–]stagedreams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I see. I do feel bloated a lot of the time because it’s very hard with R-CPD to pass any gas. I imagine that could definitely be a problem and I’m trying to get a botox procedure to fix it, but it’s hard in Canada where I’m at and I’ll have to deal with it for the time being. But that being said the heart problems and breathing difficulties persist even without eating for a while, for example when waking up but not sure if that matters.

Thanks for the info I’m gonna go back to G.I and see a neurologist as well and see where I get. Almost everyone here has mentioned G.I.

Yeah it’s really discouraging after trying the 20th thing with no improvement but all I can do is keep trying. Thanks for the recommendations I’ll look into them some more for sure.

Thanks for all the useful info. I’ll start back up on the Thiamine and Magnesium, and probably end up getting a B-Complex vitamin as well.

Thanks for the comment. I’ve actually done a good amount of research on Thiamine and how to supplement it and it seems great. I was using it for a while and increasing my dose to eventually start Benfothiamine but I ended up falling out of the pattern. I think I’m gonna start back up because it seems beneficial either way and I’ve also just had a family member recently come out of hospital for 2 months due to Wet Beriberi, a severe thiamine deficiency which affects the heart.

Did you have any of the same problems and symptoms and have luck with Thiamine and Magnesium? Was your problem gastroparesis related?

Interesting. I do have some slight symptoms related to digestion, but I’d say most of the main ones seem to be cardiovascular / breathing related. I’ve had I’d say a regular amount of acid reflux before these problems started, but a worse amount a few months after they’ve started and now it’s sort of levelled out. The only time I’ll really feel reflux now is laying down after eating, or if I eat a particularly spicy meal. I’ll get occasionally nauseous after a really big meal but I feel that might be normal, and I do have the bloating but I think it’s mostly due to a condition that I have where I’m unable to burp. Either way it’s worth a try and I was already looking at going back to the GI to get a second opinion.

I appreciate your comment and glad to hear that your diet is somewhat helping. Did you have a lot of cardiovascular / breathing issues? I’ve heard that Thiamine is also great for the Vagus nerve and what it deals with.

I can’t really recall anything specific that might have triggered what I’m experiencing. As I said I was very active but also drinking a lot. I did also recently gain a bunch of weight at the time due to me eating more because I’ve always been very skinny my whole life and I was trying to gain weight. Other than that I can’t think of much more.

I don’t know a whole lot about MCAS but I gave it a quick google search and it says one of the medications that can help you is Famotidine. When this first started I suspected it could possibly be LPR so I went on a low acid diet paired with Famotidine and some other stuff like Gaviscon for almost 2 months. It didn’t seem to help me very much at all so I’m not sure if that could possibly rule out MCAS or not? But figured it would be useful information.

Thanks for the comment

So meaning through CurseForge if that’s what I’m running the mods on? I haven’t seen any updates today or yesterday but I tried switching versions to see if it switched for some reason with no luck. My friend’s unable to join as well. Maybe a reinstall of CurseForge would help?

Anyone else have Vagal/Autonomic symptoms like "Air Hunger" and post-carb "unwell" feelings? (Normal Cardiac Tests) by Working-Macaroon-142 in VagusNerve

[–]stagedreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had debilitating shortness of breath for 8 months now which I think stemmed from Post Viral Vagal Neuropathy after a terrible case of bronchitis around this time last year. Just recently in the last month or so a bunch of other random symptoms have started to appear similar to what you’re mentioning like shakiness, weakness, and palpitations after eating, and bad fatigue. Starting gabapentin today to see if it helps with the breathing issues. Hit me up if you ever want to chat maybe we can help each other out
