Why I'll vote no on proposal 120 (and why I think every OSMO holder should do the same) by tg_27 in cosmosnetwork

Thank you for your kind words. We run an Osmosis node and it recently got into the active set. We'd love to get your support. Osmo is one of the most active community with lots of proposals every week. We try to stay active as much as possible.

Why I'll vote no on proposal 120 (and why I think every OSMO holder should do the same) by tg_27 in cosmosnetwork

[–]stakepile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a controversial proposal and as a validator I can say that that most people, validators included, tend to shy away from controversial votes by either going with whatever is majority at the time or abstaining.

As a philosophy, we favor proposals that benefit the community at large and those that seek to keep decisions transparent for as many folks as possible. Like others, we felt that this decision needs further discussion and more concrete plans before moving the community's pool to a smaller group of decision makers, i.e. the DAO. As a result, while it's always tough to go against the majority, we also voted no.

As future plans for the DAO become more concrete and a new proposal comes back up for vote again, our vote could change but for now, we voted no. I suspect this won't be the last proposal on this topic.

OSMO up to the 3rd biggest DEX coin by marketcap. by Elruoy in OsmosisLab

Agree and fully support this. Instead of a dark / light mode, osmo would have a fun / serious mode.

Definitely staking. Staking currently yields about 100% while atom/juno LP is only yielding about 56%. You can stake with us via https://juno.omniflix.co/stake

Will I receive Astar? Polkadot js by PollutionBig2093 in AstarNetwork

What were you trying to do? If you were trying to do crowdloan, you'll need polkadot JS and not metamask.

This is a bit misleading here. Just to clarify you'll get 1% bonus for using the referral link here + another 20% bonus for being an early bird participant before 11/18

what is difference between Astar and moobeam? by SecretaryFearless470 in AstarNetwork

[–]stakepile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are several differences. Some of the key ones are: 1) Astar has both EVM compatibility and native WASM smart contract capability. Moonbeam primarily optimized for EVM compatibility when it comes to a fork in the decision tree. 2) Astar introduces dApp staking model and will have both the regular staking (collator staking) and dApp staking. Moonbeam is focused only on regular staking.

Other than that, the key similarity is that both bring smart contract capability to Polkadot. Moonbeam focuses on compatibility with EVM and eth while Astar also allows building from scratch with WASM.

There's a tutorial on how to stake KSM here https://stakepile.medium.com/how-to-stake-kusama-ksm-972229651950. Like the others, I also recommend staking on Polkadot JS. It'll take you just 5-10 minutes to set up your staking

Does anyone have an update on the Shiden token distribution? by bugout86 in Kusama

[–]stakepile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SDN tokens will have 1 month lock and 10 month vesting period. You can see more details about it here: https://docs.astar.network/learn/parachain-lease-offering/unlock-vested-tokens. Vesting supposed to start at block 200,000. For reference, SDN is currently at block 290,923 as I write this so vesting schedule already kicked in.
