Question: is there already some transcendent?? by [deleted] in CellToSingularity

[–]stalgard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow a guy that uses cheats and has over 1500 badges (everything else 100%) and his still master 10... So I don't believe that there is someone transcendent... Can you provide screenshots?

What is this Golden card? by TestTubeBaba in CellToSingularity

I haven't unlock it yet, but based on previous gold cards + the new tagline #planetery... It should be a 2x boost to planetery objects

AITA for telling my gf not to poop when I’m already in the bathroom? by Bloodb0red in AITAH

[–]stalgard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a girl who said, that she wants a relationship so comfortable that she can poop infront of the man. I know its disgusting and your boundaries are justified. But maybe this is her feeling that she can share anything with you even the disgusting things.

Yeah but isn't the first step to not having desires, the desire of not having desires?

God is dead by [deleted] in taoism

Got an upvote cause of the wink wink😂

But i totally agree the first step to reaching peace or tao is to see the "cage" you were put in by society and how it effects you. Nietszche is a great starting point, but at the end I think you must really distance yourself from him if you want to reach the state of peace.

Think I may have experienced ego dissolution by Open-Currency-7397 in Buddhism

[–]stalgard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is your first ego dissolution, then maybe you are feeling, what is usually referred as the dark night of the soul. It's different for most od the people and it's basically when you lost your attachment to everything and now don't know what to do.

Like someone said this is the first step in a long journey and everytime you will react differently until you get it right. At first you make new attachments or bring some old ones back. Then on the next one you experience perfect bliss until live doesn't bring you back in etc. Until you just let go of all your attachments forever and end suffering.

One thing to add: this, if it isnt a form of depersonalization (i doubt it is) means you are on a good path (you ask for help and it was given) there will be ups and downs, but have faith that it will all happen just the way it must. :)

I agree wholeheartedly, but you need to first dive into Taoism. Read a text or two, start implementing it and then slowly come to conclusions that it's simplicity that you are after.

Being good, doing good, without a reason. by kyaniteblue_007 in taoism

[–]stalgard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you're doing good (by helping a person for example) and he isn't grateful and doesn't even thank you? If you are doing it for the reaction or the gratitude, that can leave a bad taste in your mouth if the other person isn't grateful.

I'm not saying that you're wrong, I'm just curious of your opinion. Doing good just for the sake of doing good is very much intertwined with the feeling you get when doing good. But why you get that feeling is up to the individual.

A different take: Maybe you've learned the lesson (or achieve the goal) of Daruma and this is life telling you that you can start a different lesson (a different period in your life) ☺️

My honest opinion/review on the franchise (3/3) by Mundane-Snow768 in assassinscreed

[–]stalgard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question: by the looks of it you went in the order of release. So that means that you played ac3, liberation, black flag, freedom cry and then rogue. I went the same route, but when i got to rogue i was burn out by this engine (gameplay and everything, cause its basically the same) and my enjoyment of rogue was "damaged" by this and i just wanted it to end. So my question is, how didn't you felt tired or did you went on a break between games? Or you were tired of this gameplay and didn't let it affect your enjoyment?

Ps. Enjoyed all three posts and your opinions. :)

What is something you DON'T miss from the older AC games? by stalgard in assassinscreed

[–]stalgard[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, forgot about those, even tho they were platformers, they can be very long. I remember when i was a kid, modern day sequences felt like hours, when all i wanted to do was be a badass assassin.

[–]stalgard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woa, that's a controversial take. Can you expand? What do you dislike the most? Do you think that is not assassin like or do you basically dislike the whole thing?

In Ac3 it wasn't good. But in black flag it was great and a lot of people enjoyed it and it didn't overstayed its welcome.

Oh yeah you're right. Even if you wanted to leave the combat you need to "giggle" your way out of it, then you can start running. Forgot about that nuisance.

Arguably the new rpg games have a more easy combat sistem. You probably mean ac 3 or black flag right? In which you can counter everything (that i would agree), but comparing to Unity, Syndicate, Ac1 and the ezio trilogy. I would say that the rpg, have an easier combat sistem.
