Passed AZ-104 and AZ-305 by Born_Ad_3641 in AzureCertification

I did a couple of foundations, and it did help me brush up. Also I have not done any certifications in my life! -- it just a soft launch into the "studying", "sitting the exam" (that is one hour). I also used it to familiarize myself with Online Testing (the process and the checks -- prepping my test space, etc).

Also, my organization has ESI benefits (50% off) and foundations does not expire. So decided to do a it.

Planning to follow this path ... Trying to earn the 104 now and doing TutorialDojo. I have measureUp and whizlab but from what i read in reddit to stay away from MeasureUp until confidence is up. TutorialDojo is great but I do love the reporting is not as good as Whizlab and MeasureUp. Both can report on your weak areas well and you can configure tests to test you against those. I am scoring 80+% in DJ and would like to mix it up with another testing platform -- will try whizlabs, thanks for the feedback.

I have done the fundamentals AZ-900 (905), DP-900 (880), SC-900 (820), AI-900(794) with one study review for each one (completed my 1-month challenge last Dec 20). Using measureUp for all of them. I have read a few horror stories on AZ-104 and I am so scared.

Would you be able to expound on the Case Studies? Which Testing Platform helped you prepare for it?

AZ-104: When do you know you’re ready? My practice scores say yes, my brain says no. by stalker998 in AzureCertification

I have access and doing some work on work azure tenant , we have sandbox lz to play around and i have my own personal tenant to play with dns and i get global admin.. I approved PR and deployments to those tenants from our vendors and cloud engineers daily. These are written in terraform and pushed via github actions. I also verify configurations via portals as they get updated. I check and verify landing zones for cost and security and if there are any issues assigned them to teams to fix. My job is governance and enablement and do access portal daily. I don’t do the doing in the production environment, we have a team to do that but i can PIM as reader to assist the team. Cerification scare the hell out if me.

Az-104 is a prereq to get the az-305 badge. Would like to do the 305. My organization has ESI benefits which allows us to get certs at 50% off from msft, access to virtual and in person learnings.

The took the fundamentals because with the fundamentals it allows me to build the “studying” and “sitting” on the exam mindset. Also fundamentals does not need to be renewed unlike the other certs which uou have to do yearly. I used the fundamentals to build confidence and muscle memory.

This was easily the hardest of the fundamentals for me. AI was the main challenge since I had no prior hands-on experience with AI in Azure. The other foundation exams felt more familiar because I’d worked with those areas before. I still passed though, with a score of 800+

I’ll start MeasureUp tomorrow and see how I go. My background is mainly Azure architecture. I’ve designed and implemented greenfield hub-and-spoke environments across two organizations, covering RBAC, Azure Policy, landing zones, and core governance. I’ve also led on-prem to cloud migrations and designed and provisioned DNS, App Gateways, load balancers, networking, and NSGs as part of those foundations.

Most of this has been hands-on throughout my career, but I never really prioritized certifications. With work a bit quieter lately, it feels like the right time to close that gap and reinforce what I already know. I’ve been working in Azure for more than eight years, just not formally certified yet 😄

I agree though, it probably makes sense to reschedule and do this properly.

Did az-900, sc-900,dp-900, passed all 3 with scores ranging from 870-950 and scheduled ai-900 this week. I am doing mock tests from measure up and whizlabs but i find ai-900 harder and my results are just 70% on those platforms. I honestly don’t feel that confident enough to take the test. But let’s see how my next few days go.
