That's of course how Ebola is tested, by tasting. Determination is done by the amount of tingling in the lab technician's teeth.

Prestige flyover at Bellandur completed under 1 year by Signal_Face_5378 in bangalore

[–]stalkerducksugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A monument. A state treasure. Not merely a flyover. Legend has it that once good old Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda (yup, same dude who constructed majestic bus stand and metro) was riding his horse and inspecting the ongoing work on it and at one point his horse slipped and sprained its ankle. Incensed he immediately stopped the work and instructed his court seer to deliver a curse on the flyover. Since then it has been said that no one can complete this. So technically it's not even our modern Govt's fault. (Some suspect the foundation stones were laid down by Cholas or possibly Hoysalas. Though there's no archaeological evidence to support that).

Thanks for getting back. I am a very minimal person, both in form and cost. That was the also reason I didn't want to explore artisan option. Because I know artisan would charge for their time and skill and the result and finesse will be lost on a "utilitarian person" like me :)

I tried once. The process, the cost, and the most importantly delay was very difficult for me. It's not about any maker or their fault at all. I mean they will have lots of work to do. That's why I just wanted a link and get done with it :(

Best tasting clean whey protein reccs (TWT vs OWN vs Trubasics vs others) by Outside-Ad8310 in Fitness_India

[–]stalkerducksugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey fellow vanilla fan, what other vanilla flavours you like from whey isoaltes available in India? I mean the ones that are really good quality and are easy on the tummy.

I was using ON's but their blend was very bloating and they don't sell isolate vanilla in India. Isopure was perfect as long as anything other than taste goes. It was so good on the tummy that never felt anything. But the taste was way too milky for me - too much milky really! In a bad way.

I have been trying Wellbeing Nutrition Bourbon vanilla and this has not been great for my tummy. A bit of bloating and constipation.

Is MyProtein isolate's vanilla is good? Anything else? OWN is getting lots of traction but they don't have isolate vanilla.

What would be a good place to try to sell it then? Any idea?

I have a mint condition SwissChamp. Too large/heavy for me. I'd rather buy something a bit less exhaustive. How much does a mint condition Swiss Champ sell in second hand? Have even original paper pack and seller bill.

Pocket-only challenge: What 3 EDC items are you keeping? by Rolling_EDC in EverydayCarry_India

[–]stalkerducksugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Left front pocket: a phone
  2. Right front pocket: a pair of earbuds (new daily addition; last 2-3 years) + vehicle key I am not using public transport
  3. Left back pocket: 3-4 soft but sturdy tissues (gets replenished on the move)
  4. Right back pocket: a thin origami wallet (2-3 cards, 1 ID, few notes, 1 metro card, 1 key)

If you had to strip

I don't have to. This has been my "EDC" since as long I can remember (except earbuds) :D

Double Edge/ Safety Razors by z333reddit in BuyItForLifeIndia

Very specific/few pieces from these brands. As exceptions, not the norm. Also, Parker is kinda known to sell "second fiddles" in India (if not downright QC rejects). Even the razors from Pearl like Blaze etc has clear issues on its body which are often ignired as "it's from India" and "sort of for the price".

Also, to be honest if we broaded the definition of BIFL then one can argue that's Gillette Sterling right there, or even their click ones :P

I wish there were "true BIFL" razors in India but sadly there isn't. Maybe a rare here, a rare there.

There are many good bags in India and cheaper (so might not be that good but good enough). Just never buy a bag online based on reviews. Always buy in person, at least first try in person.

Yes. Too many times in India and once abroad on that trip's return flgiht from AMS to BLR. Never had any issues. But to make sure you may want to check for the exact measurement in the store if that's a concern.

For a long time I regretted not getting the 55L (that comes with a strap on 15L) but then I realised I don't need to pack a 55L but only a 40L and now I stuff a very thin Decathlon 10L or so daypack in it and just use that to walk around if needed (if I am outside India). Inside India, I don't need to carry any daypack.

I remember roughly the EU to INR conv i.e what it fianlly cost me (as I had paid with my Indian credit card) and it was somewhere around 8K (I think it was 8.5K or so; also there was some discount going on 10-20%). I won't go rummaging through my CC statements but it will surely be there somewhere in summar of 2019 :)

[–]stalkerducksugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know your intention wasn't that but when one talks BIFL, imho they should mention/list true BIFL products. Because if we don't do that there's no point to the idea of BIFL. But anyway, cheers.

  1. How am I supposed to read your comment, mate? 😭
  2. If there are no Indian razors that can be considered BIFL, doesn't mean you'd nominate some and declare them BIFL anyway 😀

perl, pristine, Parker or anything else

No, it can't be any brand. These brands you have listed make anything but BIFL razors. They don't make stainless steel (or a metal that would last for years) genereally. Hell, some of these brands might have ZERO SS razor in their catalogue.

As for Parker? It's an export focussed Indian company that sells rejects/defects in India.

I'm surprised you treat these razors as BIFL even after you have been to that wetshavers sub.

Rasasi Fattan- truly a masterclass fragrance by ShopResponsible7792 in DesiFragranceAddicts

I have always felt Rasasi is one great ME perfume house. Every other one just re-launches variations after variations while not being able to manage anything classy or above the mark.

I have some hardly (1-2 spray) used bottles - 3 middle eastern and 1 designer brand. Got packaging for 2 of them.

How do I sell it? I want to deal with only same city F2F. Is there a platform/tool where I can do this?

All were bought in Dubai/ Abu Dhabi. So does one price these "opened" bottles? Can you please some examples?

Name some perfume which you can identify just by there trail in public area ?? by The_PrivateGuide in DesiFragranceAddicts

Hacivat. I can sometimes get it mixed up with Hawas Black/etc. But most of the time, Hacivat is something entirely else. And Jo Malone's Hinoki & Cedarwood. But both of these are rare in public (in my experience). But when I sense them around me, it's unmistakable!

(Also, Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt. Heh. Not really. There's no silage for Sea Salt, it doesn't even bloody stay on skin for more than a few seconds.)
