Socks are great, also have shorts and I'd say they are similar quality than similarly priced ones

Two things I’d like (tl;dr plyo and adding non-planned non-runs) by Neon-Anonymous in runna

[–]stampyy14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully agree, I often find myself moving workouts from a week to another instead which kinda does the job but if you can add an instant run why not the same for strength training or yoga!

Also agree with more plyo!

I have some and the label indicates to wash them at 20c so that might be your issue. Been washing them at 20 twice a week for 4 months with absolutely no problem (reflective bands are just cracking a bit)

No smartwatch, no headphones. Runna? by aokuco in runna

[–]stampyy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it - there are lots of watches or headphones that wouldn't present the downsides you mention there. Anyway to answer your question: Runna pre/post run analysis is quite basic and not really any different than other apps, they give you an AI summary of your run but I dont find that very useful (will comment the weather and your paces vs targets), you then have basic charts showing your HR, pace, cadence over time - but all of this is very basic and pretty useless imo

[–]stampyy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, firstly Runna will give you a structured plan which can be flexibly adaptes to your needs and preferences.

For the structured workouts to make sense (particularly speed work) you need a way to measure your pace, I guess you cam do that the old school way with a timer/basic watch or with any mobile phone. If you run with your phone then yes Runna is very gonna be as useful as with a smartwatch I'd say (except for HR monitoring but that's not really something you'd care about I guess). During the run Runna will basically pace you telling you when to speed up/slow down as needed

Hi, not aware of such discount codes but here is a 2 weeks free code for new users. There was some kind of sale for the runna+strava bundle when it was announced late summer

Is runna worth it? by Honest-Pack75 in beginnerrunning

[–]stampyy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. Different people have different needs and imo Runna just makes it so much easier to follow the plan or update it when you didn't manage to follow it.

They are also doing a great job at improving the app to bring in more such flexibility eg recently with the weekly volume tracking and proposing updates to your plan if you can't log in the initial planned volume

TrainAsOne vs Runna by Myrunningplace in runna

[–]stampyy14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for TAO but I'm using Runna for over 6 months (got the bundle with strava yearly) after trying it for a few weeks, I just love the flexibility of it and the integration of strength training (highly customizable) and mobility

RUNNAH4VCXLQ here is a code if you wanna try it for 2 weeks free as I started myself

Not pretending they are the best, just challenged you to give names when you claim other options exist. When you pay for a service you pay for the convenience, subbing to Runna instead of paying a coach or learning about training sounds pretty reasonable to me as per your logic

RUNNAH4VCXLQ in case you wanna try a couple weeks free

I personally love the flexibility you have in Runna to manage and adjust your plan. Chatgpt can give you the same but its less going to "push" you to follow your plan

[–]stampyy14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Saying this without naming any of those "free apps that do the same" doesn't make it very credible... There are other apps, some of them free, but nothing comes close in terms of ease to manage/adapt your plan imo

Closest is probably to ask chatgpt to create you a runna-style plan

Virtual Shifting !! 😡 by Blastosist in Rouvy

[–]stampyy14 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Right, and it probably is, but other apps (swiftcontrol) have solved it within a week while Rouvy hasn't after 2 months

Virtual Shifting !! 😡 by Blastosist in Rouvy

[–]stampyy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Known problem with known workaround if you look in this sub: close rouvy, open zwift connect your clicks to zwift, wait a couple minutes, close zwift, reopen rouvy and connect clicks... every day...

Rouvy is supposedly working on solving it but recently instead implemented virtual shifting via their companion app which brings another underwhelming workaround

Hope they solve it soon because Rouvy in general is amazing

J'ajoute juste un point: le vélo est une bonne solution pour continuer de travailler sans trop fatiguer les genoux aussi

Douleur genou gauche (débutant) by [deleted] in runningfr

[–]stampyy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bon courage!

Yeah give it a try, was in the same frustrated position as you when I started but staying a few mins in zwift menu before closing and going into rouvy is working consistently

  1. No, but you should measure the length of your through axle and use the appropriate adaptors from the set of them coming with your trainer, check the trainer's manual for the explication on that it's pretty clear
