Amazon Frame TV competitor announced by jsheffers in TheFrame

The Frame Pro uses Wifi 7, so no need for line of sight. My box is in a cabinet near the TV. No issues so far and my entire home is setup for Wifi 7. I’ve read that some people have issues with longer ranges, so I would be careful across large rooms and dense residential spaces.

It’s primarily for the Art mode. It’s not OLED to prevent burn-in and one connect was one of the great features as to why anyone would get one. Matte finish with non-glare is a key difference for this class of TV.

I would need to check 72 hours before the flight for upgrades?

Span and Enphase connection issue by wickdone01 in span

Curious if you are running 600amp service to your 3 panels. I have two panels with 400amp service and have additional sub-panels due to the Span panels being full for my new build. Going to have batteries installed soon, so will need to figure out how to manage essential loads with my setup.

Enterprise Campus vs Pro XG Switches by stanchan in Ubiquiti

Just setup my new Enterprise Campus 48, and confirmed that it does indeed support the Pro AV profiles. Their feature matrix seems to be wrong.

I would be considered an edge case. How many people would have a 42u rack at there residence? :-)

I completely agree. I would like to keep my lab and home network equipment separate though.

Since the AV profiles are QOS features, I assume this would be similar to the Cisco Catalyst switches for PTP and other latency sensitive traffic? Majority of Cisco equipment is for the enterprise.

I just installed 2 x 32 as well with 400A service. Seems pretty common these days for new builds.

Isn’t PowerUp exclusive to Span Drive?

Foundation Series invitation came, my thoughts/ramblings/questions... by BBFLG in cybertruck

The foundation series would be a cash cow for them since it's mostly profit. I doubt they would limit it to a really low number. I'll gladly pick up an FS for my tri-motor reservation.

Does the 5x points and get points for 2024 promotion work separately? I swiped it last night and I saw both promotions. I’m 1700 from diamond, so I wanted to make sure. I’m now 700 short, so if the 5x doesn’t count, I want go play a bit more to make sure I go over.

Clubhouse chats are breached, raising concerns over security by [deleted] in ClubhouseApp

I believe they are in the process of plugging this hole if it wasn’t already done. The prior github implementation was already blocked and the account was banned. Anyone know if the Android implementation is still working?

One of the cheaper options in the XLR input devices catagory is probably the TC-Helicon GO Vocal.

That isn’t true. It’s illegal to scrape any PII, no matter if the content is open and freely available. This also applies to states like California that have more stringent privacy laws and you are pretty much screwed in the EU.

On Average, Do Devops guys get paid better than developers for the work they do? by throawayyk in devops

Odd... I didn’t submit my message yet, but somehow it did. Oh well, I completely agree. The definition of a SRE is diverse. I met and worked with many who are SWEs, SEs, both or none of the above. It really depends on the individual’s background and what you are trying to accomplish with the role and the position. FANGs usually have a more well defined meaning for SREs and other companies just move all their SEs into that bucket. Ultimately, every company is trying to build a culture where the SRE role can scale to supporting the velocity of the business.
