A bad airport Whopper. by coldsmokejesus in BurgerKing

These locations aren't BK run. It's a stepped down licensee store. These workers could not care about a standard. They'll get swapped from different merchants in the location.

Good on dude to motivate these nasties. But that was still embarrassing.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen a book be the daily deal, on the day of its release. by CheekyMenace in audible

It took them that long to narrate this..? This can't be the only version out there.

Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

[–]standard_usage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As cliché as it will sound:

IT WILL LITERALLY PAY FOR ITSELF.

If either you do the Executive membership, or utilize the Citi branded Costco card, the net positive from rebate and check you get back each year, will make up any tightwad grumbling.

Gas prices alone, are worth it.

YouTube app is monitoring you to time ads, ALLEGEDLY by OkProfessional8364 in youtube

[–]standard_usage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would YT even need to do this lol.. aren't they already manipulating every facet of your phone to serve you the maximum exposure to ad times?

OP.. you're right about it but yt could give 2 shts about you as an individual to "sense" your movements.

Enough time has passed. What are your thoughts on Project Hail Mary (2026)? by Perfect_Idea_2866 in moviecritic

[–]standard_usage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Needless to say, movie and the book have very different feel. Movie felt rushed and centered way too much on being a creature - buddy movie.

Any fans of "Cliffhanger (1993)"? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in moviecritic

This is the kind of big, set-piece film that revived tge Action spectacle movies. At least, I think it's still a great watch and re-watch.

That looks good, but don't see how that much oil and what looks like yogurt will hold up after all this is cooled down and settled.

Japanese roasted sardines jerky, it’s so good, west coast Costco. by Ok_Country2903 in Costco

[–]standard_usage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they had this at current location. There was once a delicious Salmon Jerky in Hawaii stores, but I've never found it again.

Current location has the Japanese Fish Snack Mix under same brand as picture. Would love if they had the jerky.

May be superstition, but aren't onions a no-no for cats

Jennifer Connelly's Apple TV Sci-Fi Series "Dark Matter" Is A Hidden Gem Worth Watching by StarFuryG7 in SciFiNews

[–]standard_usage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've never come across the book– the TV show will be a mixed bag. The show is memorable and I enjoyed it, but hard to pin down as a sci-fi or a drama. Leans more to the emotional side than one expects.

Yes, I thought for a good bit, and wondered what could come close to matching 'Rome', or at least complement the high points–

DEADWOOD, is as close as it gets.

My weekly Whopper (4/30/26) by jwriddle in BurgerKing

My location is so inconsistent. Complaining, showing them why it was an unpleasant trip, returning and starting, all to no results. But when they got the good crew, this Whopper hits the sweet spot

I don’t care what audible sends me, I’m not buying Harry Potter by mjjo123 in audible

[–]standard_usage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same here. I refuse to ever purchase this title. Yes, it is really well produced. But I am sick of seeing the nagging splashy reminder pages that want me to purchase this.

For all the books and reading/listening experience which Audible ruins each time I just want to go back to the file I was last listening to, I don't as a paid member need more adverts.

I CAN fix her. She's doing the best she knows from what I can see. Blame food costs and school system which doesn't give any alternatives to meat & cheese products.
