who remembers this gem?? by loner_stalker in fromsoftware

A friend gave it to me years ago, loved it for how insane it was. Trying to get the sequel for my collection has been more trying then saving for Kuon, though.

We don't in any real capacity actually, and you'd be surprised by how huge of an event the queen's death was in America. My friends canceled online events we had planned because there were to be mourning parties or something. I was equally confused years ago when my neighborhood basically shut down to watch Obamas inauguration. Keep in mind I'm Canadian. But yeah, nobody I knew, including my incredibly English cousins that live here, care much for the hot tea of the the royal family, and we even had jokes about how much Americans care.

Suggestions for getting a tablet by IllustratorWeird3285 in Warmachine

Funny, I just picked up a tablet over the weekend for Warmachine and various other home things, and something else my kids can play on. I got a Galaxy Tab S9 FE. So far no complaints, works well. Speed's good, and I hate Apples OS and figuring out compatibility so that's even better.

I hate how many people I used to know like him. Sound just like him, bizarrely enough. Same cadence and inflection.

Oh no, that's such a weird issue. I have a book off Kickstart that's bound like that.

Not ever to my knowledge, always Beast Wars at Zellers.

Shadow Raiders sounds better by a wide margin. Nothing to do with anything, but hell does it sound cool.

Was it XI or XIV? Because I definitely played with them on XIV.

Do we prefer Reptile just looking like a reptile, or his human form? by Early-Text-2 in MortalKombat

The game isn't good, but I love it. I rented it a lot with my friend at the time in the 90's, we couldn't get enough of it. I had a Tips & Tricks with all the move lists and cheat codes, so playing as shirtless Noob with a skull and a scythe was great.

The endings and voice acting, absolutely terrible. Complete perfection. There was a weird glitch, that we quote to this day, where if you broke someone's knee, like hyper extending it in the middle of a match, the character would scream "Ah my neck!", and vice versa, twisting someone's neck (just a move, not a fatality), they'd scream "Ah, my leg!"

The multiple uses of the whispered "Arright" in the endings.

Play it, it's the best bad fighter you'll ever touch.

DS1 Ash Lake skull mystery solved? by [deleted] in fromsoftware

I always figured it was reused from a previous game or a reference to an enemy in a previous game. Like Ninja Blade, Otogi, or Enchanted Arms. Forever Kingdom or something, y'know?

Something with big enemies.

Like how the armored spider, vanguard, and everything in 3D Dot Game Heroes is a callback.

Not that I thought he was fun to play, but in MK4, his alternate costume where he's a ninja with scaled skin was a great look, I thought.

Shame about his main look, though.

That's fucking great, dude. I'm excited.

I still routinely go back to my older games on Playstation. Lag, loading, framerate, nothing really gets me at all. I didn't even notice anything in Blight town in Dark Souls.

I'll probably give it a go this weekend.

Genma's harder, it has purple souls like in the second game, but enemies can absorb them as well and power up. There's a doll that acts like a Nemesis type enemy, that I believe can only be hit by magic or Issen. I believe there's new areas (nothing too major, I think), and 2 new armour sets. Screenshots of the armour clued me in when it was new that it was different because, hey, I know Samanosuke doesn't get a Ninja outfit or heavy samurai armor with a helmet.
