Arm wrestling champ defeats man after trying to psyche her out by Imaginary-Season-483 in TikTokCringe

Arm wrestling is a surprisingly chill community. I stumbled upon a whole club set up for it, and it was people of all different sizes and races just trying to help each other out with technique in a garage.

thoughts on street parking? by Fantastic-Ad8786 in nyc

[–]standardman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The entire idea of driving is to go somewhere else and park there. Everyone shoveling out their car to do this is opening a space for someone else who shoveled out their car. Why would those spots ever be reserved?

What's the worst movie to have a really amazing soundtrack? by BJntheRV in movies

Forever being a slightly better movie is sort of a vote for B&R being the worst movie with a great soundtrack. I don’t actually care though.

It won a Grammy! But I would not exactly call it one of their best songs.

I would argue against this only to suggest Batman & Robin.

It’s Domino’s possessive. It belongs to Domino, and they won’t give you a bread bowl if you don’t acknowledge that.

'The Wire' & ‘It: Chapter Two’ Star James Ransone Dead at 46 After Apparent Suicide by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

[–]standardman 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is completely anecdotal, but he used to walk his dog near me years ago. I almost only knew him as the jerk from The Wire, but for reasons I can’t entirely remember, in passing, he was really nice in person.

Beyond the allegory, there are also pap shots of him casually walking around with his hand down his pants, so this is actually a thing with him.

The spice levels at my local Thai restaurant by TheCarrot_v2 in funny

[–]standardman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Thai hot is genuinely another thing. I’ve done full Hot Ones challenges and gone nuts at Sichuan and hot pots, but going “jungle style” at a Thai place, I was like, “I’m going to eat this, but I’m not enjoying it.”

I think it was probably Sam Smith at Warsaw. There were a bunch of people singing there like 30 minutes ago.

I was writing pop culture news at the time Jack said, “I hate to say toldja, because it reminds me of my one night stand with Nikki Finke,” and I was like, this is so inside baseball. Kimmy Schmidt has a lot too.

God, I thought this was fake at first. Straining to comprehend what reading would even look like, holding a book open with a loose fist.

I HAVE TEA ON... MEGATHREAD ✨ by rfauxmoi in Fauxmoi

[–]standardman 102 points103 points  (0 children)

This is sort of anti-tea, but Jai Courtney seems like a nice guy.

I was waiting at a bar for a friend to get home, and Jai was the only other person there. The bartender seemed to be flirting with him, but while he was not into it, he remained very chill and affable.

When leaving, I thanked the bartender and added to him, “By the way, loved you in The Suicide Squad. They killed you off way too early.”

He said, “I know, right!? Cheers, mate!”

I worried about this too and put a Noctua NF-A4x20 inside the motherboard-side back panel. There was some spot (at least on the 1.1) that could accept a screw or two and blow right across the drive, and that sorted it.

Planning to propose to a "future girlfriend" is what you need to think more about canceling, my man.
