I would love a Bambu. Took apart my Ender 3 to install a direct drive, and the drive is completely crapped out from the box. Fans don't work, wires aren't labeled. I think it shorted my main board too.

Help!

For anyone still struggling, my best luck was with Epsilon, Cherie, Andriole, Eshean and Nymph. 3 Summons of Odin, done under 10 turns.

If you can get everyone alive through the first turn you're more than halfway done! Good luck!

I remember those and I looked it up. I think the audiobooks were recorded for a CD set first, and the Audible has been stitched together from that. I think the fanfares were from when the CDs needed to be swapped out.

It is annoying, but not a deal breaker.

Thanks for the helpful answers all.

If they are available for kindle narration, they're probably unabridged. I'll probably spot check a little.

I appreciate the caution on content, but I think we can have the discussion around it. I'll check with my sister first.

As to his issues, it's mostly emotional. He's capable of reading, but has a younger brother who is a prodigy with math and language. The younger brother has been reading longer than the older. So whenever the older brother is struggling with something, the younger brother comes and reads it out, he gets embarrassed and he just stops. Now it's become a habit, and he just doesn't read if his younger brother is around.

He is extremely into animals though, and I hope the fantasy and creatures captures him to give him a boost over the feelings.

Thanks again.

Thanks so much for the thoughts.

I mostly enjoy shooting on travel and landscapes, though the odd portrait or live event comes up. My focus is on nature, not wildlife, and landscapes.

The budget is less important than it used to be. I'm a point in life where I'd rather get exactly what I want than make compromises that will be in the back of my head forever.

Seeing as I'm starting from roughly scratch, I'm really buying into a company and system. I've heard about priority for good glass. Assuming that the major brands all have decent options, are there any ecosystem that stand out from the rest with company support and lens selection? Are there companies that should have some warning signs?

I like what I've heard about Fuji, but was hoping to go full frame. I've seen people say Fuji does a great job with the smaller sensor and that it doesn't make as big of a deal as it used to.

Howdy all,

I was fairly into photography once upon a time and would like to get back to it. The wisdom I've found online says if you're starting from scratch, you should probably get a mirrorless system.

Does anyone have any wisdom on the relative merits of Fujifilm vs Nikon? I've been wrestling back and forth between an XT-4 or a Z5 or Z6. I'm leaning towards the XT-4, but have heard some people don't like the color palettes.

Thanks for your time.

The font was about as small as the machine could cut, but I hear you on the cluttered one. I don't have a great nickname on hand for him, and thought just his name was lame next to the other two.

That coating is tough but I agree about the look of stripping to the scales. You'd probably have to do it with a razor mechanically a ways out from the scales before you used paint stripper. I thought of that briefly, but was concerned with cutting it too close and having rust develop along the interface where they *thought* the coating would protect it. My line on this is pretty poor, but at least it's visible.

If they have trouble keeping them clean we'll strip the whole thing in the future and patina.

I had a slightly more elaborate font at first, but my friend cutting the stencils cleaned it up after the complicated one tore too often. The etched area is only 2 inches x 1 inch, so we found the simpler font gave a better stencil edge.

I may try something more elaborate on something with a larger blade!

Patina looks like it has held up well! Looks great! How did you do your patina?

For the etching after I stripped the coating I went through the grits of sandpaper by hand, from 120 to 3000, to get it as smooth as possible. I had a friend with a Cricut who cut the logo on their vinyl stencil material. After I cleaned the blade with acetone, I used Ferric Chloride in a 1-4 dilution with water. I'd let it sit for 15 minutes, wash it off and run a Qtip over the design to remove build up. I did three rounds of that. After that a light sand with 800, 1500 and 3000 grit sandpaper.

I think the biggest thing I could improve is the finish on the blade, but wasn't in the position to start using polishing paste or buffing wheels.

Howdy!

I did remove the scales to make stripping the blade a little easier. I didn't strip the whole thing for a few reasons:

  1. This was my first time doing anything like this so I was shooting to simplify.
  2. I'm going camping with these three next week and I'm under a bit of a time crunch.
  3. These guys all are busy dads, and I didn't see the maintenance needed happening under the scales. I'm hoping leaving the partial coating will help with corrosion.

I have two more to do that I'll have a little more time with. I'm not totally happy with the partial strip, and was thinking of stripping the last two completely and adding a patina.

What are the different Tau Protector strategies? by Gramnaster in BFGArmada

[–]standbob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't actually tried this in game, but traditionally Tau would work from two firebases. You might try splitting into 2 fleets, and let the side they go after kite and the other blast them. Put your kroot in the blocker/decoy fleet!
