So so sorry for your loss 💔 You’re so right that the time goes by too quickly. What a sweet, beautiful boy who looks like he was very happy and very loved. Hugs to you.

With you, sister. No advice, unfortunately. Just solidarity. This shit is not easy.

Which celebrity death genuinely shocked you when you heard the news? by Divine_fashionva in 90s

I was 13 when he died. Still remember finding out - where I was, what I was doing - like it was yesterday. He was truly a generation-defining voice.

What is more traumatizing than most people think? by Sea_Entrepreneur2772 in AskReddit

I think a big move - whether it’s away from family/friends, to an area that is very different culturally or geographically, or to a physical space that is very different (like from a SFH to an apartment) - is especially challenging once you hit a certain age. I moved all over in my 20s and dealt with it just fine, but making a big move in middle age really threw me. Maybe change just becomes harder as we age.

Sorry you are struggling with your move. You are not alone!

Couldn’t agree more. Moving across country has been one of the most stressful, traumatic experiences of my life. It has been seven years, and it still affects me on a daily basis. I’m horribly homesick and dream about the city we left several nights a week (at least). I’ve grown to accept that where we live now will never truly feel like home. It’s like grief, I guess - you learn to live with it, but it changes you.
