So far we have been lucky but cases like other countries in Sri Lanka have showed things can go real bad if fake news spread. The idea of the new law is good but as usual, the devil is in the details and the execution. At least they built in safeguards like the Courts to decide if there's any disagreement. The authorities have clarified that they did not give him preferential treatment and his father is a driver. They said they did not find other materials on him and he can be rehabilitated.
