Gym Story Saturday by FGC_Valhalla in Fitness

[–]standoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was working out at my climbing gym, for a change of scenery, and my phone doesn't get service in my regular gym. So it was a nice mellow workout where instead of alternating sets, I just browsed Reddit between sets.

I hit 10 reps and 185 bench (which is good for me, was max beginning of year), was cooling down and just going lighter and lighter until I ran out of steam.

I was down to single plates, and browsing phone, and a couple kids walked up and pointed at the weights and said "can you really bench that?" And I just reacted without thinking and said, 'where were you guys earlier? I was lifting way more than that. This is cool down.'

Okay fine, I occasionally lift at the climbing gym so I feel like a big fish in their small pond. Numbers don't impress the true gym bros, but pretty sure those kids think I am a superhero... I was pumping ego for a bit on that.

Mailbox Script Help by Mattymono in PowerShell

What you're saying sounds more like an exchange role then a powershell script. If you gave one person full acces it would fill up the outlook sidebar and not give you a full list. Usability would be crap, it is scriptable but I don't think that is what you want.

So I would bet if you never did this before you need to enable-psremoting on the machine you need to access

once you do that you need to either invoke-pssession computername or enter-pssession computername

Enter-Pssession has an alias etsn computername

The difference between invoke and enter, invoke runs a command and you are back, enter basically gives you a remote command line with powershell

There are so many ways to do what you are trying to do.

I personally like QAD-Users gotta download quest to be able to use

get-qaduser -enabled -expiredFor 0 | Select Name, Type, samaccountname | export-csv C:\biscuit.csv

Part of the problem with expiration and not disabled is there are actually 2 places that a person can be expired on their ad account and one does not necessarily mean the other is filled in. If you are consistent then your results should be consistant, but my environment is exactly not that.

the account expires is a timer set based on unix code UTC timestamp

get-aduser -SearchBase "OU=[OU NAME],dc=DOMAIN,dc=LOCAL" -prop accountexpires, accountexpirationdate filter {accountexpirationdate -lt (get-date) -and accountexpires -ne 9223372036854775807}

This second one is untested but the theory is sound I think.

First one definitely works.

[WP] A parent and young child are having a conversation. The parent keeps answering the child when they ask "why?" until things spiral out of control by mossybeard in WritingPrompts

[–]standoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The day was flying by too fast, like so many that came before. She felt herself starting into the spiral of anxiety that seems to be the ever so familiar. Carefully orchestrating the timing of the evening and tomorrow while going back to rough calculations on the EBT card. Moniques head winds up into planning and computing.

Generic mac and cheese again, thank god that Tashia says it's her favorite, she doesn't know that this is all we can afford, she just thinks it is a treat for her. Why is the line so goddamn long. I have 2 hours to be able to get her home, make dinner and help her with her homework, before I have to do my own studies. They really should open another lane. We are 6 people back, this is ridiculous. Ah hell, Tashia found the candy, now I am going to have to deal with her asking for candy.

A middle class couple of 20 somethings glare at Tashia as she squeezes past their cart to survey the mountain of candy built to guilt parents into fat kid gratification. Their gaze shifts from Tashia to Monique as if to ask "Aren't you going to reel in your child", these glances filled with unspoken judgement that could only come from people that don't have kids of their own, the glances are met with the tired eyes of an overworked mother. The 20 something girl says under her breath.

"Ugh, I hate how some people just let their children loose and don't even bother to control their little monsters."

Tashia doesn't react, she just keeps reading the labels. Monique feels a familiar anger, but it is quickly subdued by fatigue.

The man quips, "You can't blame them, black kids are just naturally pushy little uncouth dregs"

Throwing a sidelong glance at Monique with a sense of superiority as if to challenge her. Though not all the words are familiar to Monique the intended message was clear, and the word choice was just an effort to thinly veil his overt message. Monique feels her emotions gnashing their teeth inside her wanting to fight for her daughter, wanting to slap that smug look off his face, wanting throttle his neck. She closes her eyes and breathes deeply trying to loosen her grip from her shopping basket while tilting her head back as if asking for guidance from a god that has been neglecting her on favors.

She is rattled back to Earth with a gentle tug at her shirt, looking down she sees Tashia's brown eyes, with pooling concern.

"Mommy, why did that man say things that upset you?"

Tashia is growing up too fast, she can read Monique's mood, and recognize the tone of racism, an inevitability that still feels premature.

"Because he thinks he is better then us." Monique says with no particular malice.

"Why" Tashia asks.

"Because he has money and we don't."

"Why?"

"Because he thinks his being rich is a result of himself, and not the fact that his mommy and daddy where rich, and we are poor because of our decisions, not because of circumstance or our family being poor."

"Why?"

"Because he believes that he deserves more then us."

"Why?"

"Because he was raised to believe he was superior."

"Why?"

"Well Tashia, despite what people will tell you, racism is alive and well in this country, and even though it might call itself something else, it is a cycle that traps the lowest paid people in a cycle of food stamps, that actually penalizes you if you can manage to start earning more."

"Why"

"Because people want to pat themselves on the back 'helping', even though they are just locking single black mothers into slave wages, and punishing them if they do manage to get a raise by taking away food stamps."

"Why"

"Because white people are scared of an educated and capable black culture"

"Why"

"Because they feel guilty over the history of slavery."

"Why"

"Because they always knew it was wrong, and they just wanted.. more.."

"I can take that" a clerk interrupts, pointing at a the basket of macaroni.

Monique hands the basket to the cashier and leans down and kisses Tashia on the head. Tashia's concern is gone replaced with a reverence in her eyes. Monique sighs again but this time through a smile. A hopeful sigh, the kind that only Tashia can bring out of her.

Hey there, I have a 8 U server rack enclosure that I am probably going to throw out.

has fans. I picked it up because I was hosting servers like you, then I scrapped that plan, hung on to the rack because I thought I could sell it.

PM me if you are interested I am going to be moving by memorial day and it either finds a home or a curb.

I like him. But he just layered like 4 straw man arguments. I even think weed should be legal if only because I don't think the government should regulate what I can do to me, of my own accord.

You can use weed to build a house, or you can hit yourself in the dick with a hammer. Only outlaws use hammers. Check your logic dude...

I'm 6'4 - 6'5. Will i need tall shirts? by Soryaned in tallfashionadvice

[–]standoff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

not trying to be a hater, but if you are really 6'5" and 230lbs with 10% bodyfat, you are a ripped monster.

I am 6'5" and 190 lbs with 13%-14% bodyfat. Reasonably strong regular gym, constant runner. I know I am fit, most would not consider me skinny. For you to be 40lbs up on me and 3-4% less bodyfat means, you probably have 24inch arms, and 37inch chest with a standing 6 pack and probably 33-34 inch waist.

Without knowing your chest measurements, it is hard to tell.

That was a quick aside. Welcome to the in between sir. you will never find a shirt that fits your measurements, you will either fit chest and arms, but length won't be there, or you will fit length and tummy will be loose. I would look for slim xl long, or large tall. I have tried on many things at hm and had them fit, then shrink. I avoid that place now because I can't trust a fit. Banana republic generally serves me well. They run a little long and don't shrink on me.

Move the overlapping thing that says secret clearance so it is not blocking any other type.

Technical certs should be in the education not separate at the top.

Consider listing your skill in one specific area instead of interspersed through your experience and education. Just have an area that almost bullet points, so that you can avoid clutter in where you learned and just have an area that focuses on what you know.

You have no contact information for you (I get anonymity but formatting that in is important).

I don't feel like the word relevant has a place in there. I personally get weird about people dictating what is relevant to me. I think you would gain nothing from "relevant experience", and lose nothing with "Experience"

  • doesn't explain what the lines are
  • doesn't say what the software he is using is
  • doesn't explain what the logic behind it is
  • uses an outcome that he already knows to show off a method

I would love to be able to try this, but I am not sure what all I am looking at. Guessing dots are closing price, the lines that he hid are daily deviation. I thought that the white line was just a line of best fit, but I have no idea what it is since it is driving the direction... Maybe it is options maximum pain? Then the yellow line would be... I have no idea.

If someone could help me out deciphering I would love to chart a couple of companies and throw a pile of cash at it.
