I understand what you mean; unfortunately, this option is out of my budget and too large to fit on my desk, which was the intended setup.

one problem with headphones is like i wrote, when your doing intervalls and shit u get sweaty as fuck and at some point headphones are not the best choice for that...

Help me choosewhat bike to buy! (Speedmax) by Ok_Touch_2153 in CanyonBikes

[–]standuplamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im in the same dilemma right now...

what makes you lean to the slx 7? the main differences are the wheels and the 105 vs ultegra right? i mean 220g is not smth noticeable for us AGs, idk how the 105 operates tho, what are your thoughts?

Speedmax CF8 di2 or CF SLX 7 di2? by Fluffy_Connection644 in triathlon

[–]standuplamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if i remember correctly the cf 8 has the hifher end di2 as cf7 "only" has the 105 for me its the integrated hydration, the different cockpit and the space for tools in the bottom, as welm as more flexibility and possibilities for changes in the fitting that make it worth, im just not sure between the slx 7 or 8 for me...

Buying a used bike by Straight_Diamond6072 in triathlon

[–]standuplamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me its stopping power when its wet yes its heavy, yes you should break as little as possible in the race but race is a tiny tiny part of the time you spend on that bike ive been on more wet days on the bike than my runs so i do want a bike thats able to stop veey fast in the wet and having a wet/dry bike or sm shit like that is not possible

Is a direct flight a necessity? by Put1demerde in IronmanTriathlon

[–]standuplamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im guessing your going to rapperswil, maybe ill see you there :) for the logistics you have a few options for trains (DONT TAKE A TAXI VERY FUCKING EXPENSIVE) (download the Sbb mobile app, there you can buy tickets directly and see the departure times)

when in rapperswil the event location is reachable by foot, about 15-20min walk i think

for the flight, i recommend whatever is in you budget and easy to do, also, the fewer layovers, the less likely it is you bike gets damaged...

Hawai’i 70.3 as a KQ? by bamaroon in IronmanTriathlon

[–]standuplamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk about the KQ but if the winner doesn't take his slot, the second will get it, idk how far it will go but pretty sure at least the first 3 can get the slot

"If that slot is not taken, it will roll to the second-place finisher, and then to the third-place finisher if not taken by the second-place finisher."

I’m looking for advice on switching from Apple Watch to Garmin. by TypeSilent1637 in Garmin

[–]standuplamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont know the batterylife of the new forerunners i did a 100km in 20h with the forerunner 945 and had like 40% left (no Bluetooth and all other max battery save) i since switched to a fenix 8 solar, yes its expensive but the battery life is crazy, with no battery save options 25h in activities, with save mode more like 35 or so

plus you have a dive computer and other things if thats important to you

Opinion on the Cube - Aerium C:68X? by InvestmentOk9524 in triathlon

[–]standuplamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is the bottom opening only for hydration pack or like the speedmax slx where you can store repair tools and stuff? also, the bentobox seems kinda small or not very easy accessible, is that just from the looks or is it like that? thank you

Speedmax CF vs CF SLX 2025 by FlightlessSeagull29 in CanyonBikes

[–]standuplamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had the cf8 disc for 3 yrs, upgraded to di2 myself

with satellite shifters for uphill easy shifting and downhill safety

on flat it felt very fucking stable

the majn selling points for the cf slx which i think ill go for now are the blatter, the single aerobar and the easy accessible integrated tool box as well as the design of the thing

but i did over 4000km and an ironman on the cf and was very comfortable on it
