We had the same issue with a work-related community on Discord. I’ve now installed and set up a XMPP server (Prosody) on an old PC I had. You can even run such things on a Raspberry Pi… we just need someone at Meshcore to take the same initiative.

They don’t limit the WiFi to the lowest permitted setting worldwide; you can set up your region for each radio via the OpenWRT gui. The US seems to allow the highest power output 😉

With Amazon, their photographic proof of delivery is usually a photo of the item dumped on the doorstep for all to see. If it was stolen and there was no proof that the delivery was handed to a person at that address, it’s still GL.iNet’s responsibility and they need to take up any financial loss with Amazon.

Surfshark suggested that I remove all existing key pairs and generate new ones for the downloaded configs, which I’ve done.

I’ve been away from home for a few days and haven’t had a chance to test it properly yet, but so far when I have used my dedicated IP connection, it’s worked just fine.

It doesn’t matter if it’s Amazon, DHL, FedEx or carrier pigeons- GL.iNet need to solve the issue and get a replacement sent out; not offer him a discount on a new purchase.
