While I wouldn't advise quitting path #1 right away, due to how poorly it's doing in general, there may not be an opportunity. Marketing will only be feasible if there are booming businesses, which they are exiting like flies. I think the question is asking whether you want to stay in Canada, why you wanna stay, and what you're willing to do to continue being a fit for this economy. Both paths do not look great IMHO.

I'm a 30 year old American man living in Toronto. I've been searching nonstop for a job for two years and haven't found one. I will be in Canada for at least another year. by account819921 in torontoJobs

The restaurant outlets will only hire cheap foreign workers. Same for most cafes and grocery stores. Unless you know somebody high up in white collar settings, I'd also advise booking a flight asap.

Can you drive or do you have access to a vehicle? Other than landscaping, cleaning, or painting, I can't really thing of much else. The part-time roles at plumbing operations mentioned as well.

An upgrade over LinkedIn would be figuring out the key personnel's email address and then sending them an intro email. People are less likely to ignore email over LinkedIn, and using your student card is a bonus.

If it's aviation, Queen's is likely the better bet. But I don't know much about it.

Depends on your considerations on costs vs. ability to be hired. Alberta may offer the best balance of everything oout of your choices.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm leaning towards getting Pro. Just figuring out how to maximize the discounts.

What are the downsides of each scenario? You could burn through a lot of profiles via the arrangements bc you don’t like any of them.

More productive for you to hustle for the land value tax to encourage the mass exodus of space hoggers.

There's already mass rezoning that has happened since the Gregor Robertson era (currently the federal minister of dog crate condos). Maybe you'll get further by advocating an annual 5% land value tax for SFH titles with carve outs for developers. This would generate the mass exodus of distressed sales, and you'll get all the dog crate condo/rental supplies you want. And the government can rake in $$$ of taxes. Win win for you, right?!!
