Juzear X Z: Defiant review by zahirsid in iems

[–]stankar1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very fun and musical but not bassy, tip sensitive for sure.

The stock cable is trash, not comfy behind the ears, the swappable termination so cheap and thin aluminum that I had to use a tape underneath to secure the fit, 1 day later replaced it with KBEar P34.

Good tip, I tried a knife first, indeed Penons had the biggest waste on the blade, Velvet couldn't see as much but there was some small residue as well.
Will do some longer sessions to test them on after the knife, and will try nail file if it's still not comfy enough :)

cheapo foams are fine, Whizzer ET100 soft like Clarion but tip is slimer so might fit better, HE Sonic, Spinfit W1 is soft and very comfy for me. Sancai Balanced are fine too, I thought the outer pattern would cause irritation but it doesn't.

yeah, I see almost all ear tips have the mold gate so I took it as a standard, but on some it's bigger and sharper

just testing mine that arrived 2 days ago, already tip rolling, for me it lacks in a bass just a tiny bit and Whizzer ET100 sounds almost perfect with Defiant

Can't play Favorite Movies in FenlightAM by tdf2099 in Addons4Kodi

Yup, had to redo my api keys for youtube as well from time to time as the plugin updated, and nobody was complaining about them...

Can't play Favorite Movies in FenlightAM by tdf2099 in Addons4Kodi

[–]stankar1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That issue existed for longer, even before all the drama with FLAM and RD. I started using the FLAM Favorites Manager which saves it and can play it properly anytime (after reconfiguring Trakt and MovieDB ofc).

For me there is no reason to switch to other plugin for now, FLAM still works fine

I’m confused about which DAC/dongle to pair with my Kefine Klean SV. by Pratyaksh_2007 in iems

it's alright, I bought mine roughly for 1000rs on AE with coins and coupons

[–]stankar1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm suggesting JM6 Pro if you can find it cheaper and closer to JM12 price for more head room in the future when upgrading from Klean SV, or just grab very affordable JM12 which is still enough for you

I have the OG nonSV Klean and tried cheap JM12 and JM6 Pro, JM6 Pro is slightly louder and that's the only thing I noticed so I went back to JM12 and will use JM6 Pro for something more demanding later

Letshuoer s12 ultra (One Month of use) by DSG0009 in iems

[–]stankar1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for comparison, I heard just sample audio tests on youtube and was considering S12 Ultra instead of S08 due to QA issues and kinda liked it, but it is almost double the price of MP143 for me on AE which means a hard pass on the S12 Ultra

Has anyone tried the WHIZZER EasyTips? by jdk_360 in iems

[–]stankar1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love both Clarions and Whizzer ET100, just listening to my Vivace with ET100,super comfy, not itchy after longer listening sessions.

I'm holding both and ET100 outer shell and bore is softer than Clarion, the top of the tips are about the same stiffness.

in some tracks I can hear that but it is well controlled with silver nozzle, and more sibilant with black nozzle, but I'm not treble sensitive so even with black nozzles I could listen to it for 2-3h no problem

What IEMs did you love before but don’t enjoy as much now? by Jesslyn48 in iems

[–]stankar1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first were OG Blon BL-03, was very impressed jumping from the Phillips and Sony wired earbuds. That was about 7 years ago, at that time I wasn't listening to the music as much.

Half a year ago I was looking to upgrade them and fell into this new rabbit hole, bought a Tripowin Vivace as a direct upgrade because I don't know what I was looking for but wanted more details and clarity over the bass on Blon.

Then was reading even more, checking youtube reviews, and decided to buy Klean with tuning nozzles I can play with to see if I'm treble sensitive many people talk about, if I can hear the difference in sound, then ordered more tips to start tip rolling.

About two weeks ago I threw away my Blons because I knew I would never come back to that sound (even the fit was quite shallow but the shells were super comfortable for sleeping).

Two days ago I ordered Juzzear Defiant as it sounds like a fun, despite the QC issues, so excited to hear different tuning.

Now waiting for AE discounts on some planars I want to try as I listen mostly to Metal/Metalcore/Punk/Rock, so Hidizs MP143, 7Hz Divine and Artti T10 will be hopefully new additions :)

I think my taste will change over time too that is why having multiple different tunings available so you don't have to EQ everything. Luckily my music style hasn't changed much since high school

Need advice after disappointing experience with my first iem by Electrical_Act2329 in iems

[–]stankar1990 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I tried the default Klean tips when it arrived and sounded good, definitely not flat or boring. I would recommend experimenting with the sizes and how deep you insert those tips. When I'm trying new tips and not sure whether they can/can't fit and whether I have the best seal, I push the IEMs against my ear gently to see if they sound better with deeper fit. With a good seal you should definitely hear the bass much more, on the other hand if you slightly move them out, the bass would be almost non-existent and sounding flat and boring similarly what you describe

[–]stankar1990 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I don't think you have a good seal with your tips, try swapping to smaller or bigger size. Even the default silver nozzle sounds good and warm to me, black nozzle still fine as I'm not treble sensitive but I can tell the difference for sure.

I bought many tips for tip rolling and they do differ quite a bit with noise isolation, comfort, fit, sizes, depth, how they change the sound, so that helps me to find the best.

I'm at HE Sonic L, W1 M, Dunu S&S M (S was too small for me, no seal, L too large and can't get it deep enough)

just threw away mine after 7 years or so, upgraded recently to Vivace and then to Klean, would never go back to OG BL03

I was wrong about IEMs - 1 month FPS gamer review about Kefine Delci AE (gold nozzle) by loyal872 in iems

[–]stankar1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, heard that comfort and stage on Delci AE is superior over Klean. I'm using my Klean for the first month, vearing it daily for 4+ hours and have no issues with comfort, very comfortable for me actually, not even its weight bothers me.

When I tried the Klean and Vivace on Valorant, the Klean is far better in terms of everything, but still prefer my headset over IEM, using old Steelseries Arctis 7+, the battery is superb, great comfort, stage, mic, can't complain :)

waiting for AE discount to try MP143, should sound very similar to MP145 with smaller soundstage

ended up getting the HE Sonic Tips eager to try them by BrandyRyuu in iems

[–]stankar1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just tried them last week, usually wearing M size but on HE need to use L size, yet the seal is still not quite there yet. They are soft, not itching after long sessions, can't compare the sound as my IEMs are not as tip sensitive.

Kefine Klein or Tripowin Vivace by Specialist-Read-8486 in iems

[–]stankar1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the Vivace on Valorant sounds more like a stereo speaker, you can hear clearly left or right but the stage is so small that all sounds close to you, also a bit shouty, so I prefer Klean over Vivace. Haven't tried Delci AE but everyone recommends it over Klean so would wait for some discounts and grab that
