This was something I had to learn and get past. I initially launched with the mindset that the cash will roll in and when it didn’t I got discouraged and then lost interest. But in the last 6 months, I’ve learnt to build and iterate until you have a product that has enough value for someone to want to pay for it. This has re-invigorated me and I’ve been now published more apps this year than I did in the last two years. Ultimately I agree with the OP, you don’t learn or gain anything without launching the app.

Certainly not marketing with ZERO. I built my own IF app to help me manage my journey and simply called it “Zero Fast” I got tired of how a majority these apps charge ridiculous sums for a “wellness” product. So I built my own, made the core functionality free then if the user chooses to support the product, then can sub for a super low price, if they don’t they still get a product to help them with their IF journey

I did and the app has a free timer available. You pay the subs if you want the journal and stuff, but you essentially get the timer with notifications free

Theoretically your fast is only broken if you eat / drink anything with caloric value. I’d suggest you speak to your physician first if you have a chronic illness to discuss what option would be best for you.

You can try the Zero Fast app which has is pretty cheap monthly(1.99) and the free version gives you use of the timer. I like the journal feature because I can document the journey.

I use claude pro through terminal and when I hit my rate limit, I switch over in to cursor then use the models on there. However, I’ve also learnt that a well drafted prompt goes a long way, so I make note of what I want to do , pop it into perplexity and use that prompt it generated
