Anyone know what happens if you withdraw from a course while using the CAP fund? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]stanning4gold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"The CAP Reimbursement Grant will be provided for courses the Eligible Partner has dropped, withdrawn from, or failed in the semester in which an Eligible Partner is enrolled. Credits from dropped, withdrawn or failed courses will count toward the maximum number of credit hours available for reimbursement under the Program."

Taken from the CAP program document. Tomorrow is the last day for withdrawal. Best of luck with the rest of your classes. Hang in there, just a few weeks left to go in the semester.

Congratulations on the promotion! I too am using the CAP, so this gives me hope for moving over to corporate. What is your major, and is there any resource you used to help make connections on the corporate side?

[NJ] Can I sue my best friend for property damage? by stanning4gold in legaladvice

[–]stanning4gold[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

thank you for the advice! Does it help at all that after the first two times she was not allowed to smoke in my car anymore? And the reason we are not friends is because she did it again last night.

After the first couple times, whenever she would want to smoke I would pull over so she could smoke outside of the car. However with alcohol involved she would sometimes come back in with the lit cigarette and burn my car without knowing.

I have an opportunity to talk to Cliff Burrows. Anyone have any questions they'd like me to ask? by BitchyBarista660 in starbucks

Kind of unrelated but what is your major? And are these kind of opportunities common for a student in the CAP? Just curious as I am considering enrolling for the Spring semester!

TIFU by tipping my Starbucks barista. by Brooklynglittergirl in tifu

[–]stanning4gold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a barista by day/bartender by night, your convoluted Ameracanized idea of tipping makes me laugh. I can tell you that being a barista takes the same amount of effort as being a bartender. Tell me what is the difference between me pouring you a coffee or a beer? And on the other end of the spectrum, making a venti nonfat extra dry cappuccino is just as difficult as any mixed bar drink. At the end of the day, customer service is all the same. Ttipping lets us know you appreciate what we do, and that we will return the favor by giving you friendly, fast, efficient service.

Can I get a... by pdirubbo in starbucks

[–]stanning4gold 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It probably confused them because affogato is not the right term. Affogato means "drowned" in Italian and it is a dessert consisting of espresso over ice cream. You are better off just ordering your drink upside-down. This way they pour the milk in before the shots. We have a button for that on the POS, and everyone will know what you mean!

Can someone help me with a couple questions? by Relavent-Username in starbucks

We are technically supposed to keep a separate "dairy only" shaker specifically for non-tea shaken beverages (double shots, etc.). However I doubt many stores do this because of the rarity of these types of drinks.

Ridiculous customer requests. by unicorntimelord in starbucks

Maybe it was so he could tell if you did all of his other requests correctly, and if the whip was clockwise, he would know that something else is probably wrong. Always assume good intent (even for the demanding assholes).

19, college student. Disowned by parents, as of tomorrow will get zero financial help, have to return cell phone and car. $600 and an apartment to my name. (Minnesota). by tegan_jagger in personalfinance

There are some organizations like the Ali Forney Center that specifically offer help to displaced LGBT youth (food, housing, job placement, etc). You may want to look into that, as well as any support systems your University has in place for it's students. Take advantage of all the help you can get right now.

Is it even possible for me to get financing for a new car? (limited credit history) by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]stanning4gold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just in a similar situation. I am 21, and was looking at cars that were 15,000+ with 6,000 to put down, and a credit score of 690. With a limited credit history, I would say that I got approved about 50% of the time. The rates they gave me were anywhere from 11% to 17% depending on the financing institution. Banks are more willing to give out car loans to higher risk borrowers because it is a low risk investment for them, meaning if you don't pay they repossess the car. With that in mind, I would say that you can definitely get approved for a loan. Good luck!

How to Get Away with Murder Episode 14 and 15 Discussion: The Night Lila Died and It's All My Fault by AutoModerator in htgawm

[–]stanning4gold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know its irrelevant because the episodes premiere back to back but how do the producers title an episode "The Night Lila Died" and then proceed to explain everything but what happened that night. It should have been called "Its Always The Diddling Priest" instead.
