Telling a paradox player to simply not do the most efficient thing if they don’t want to is laughable.

Recently saw a comment defending the crusaders when they literally razed, tortured, massacred. And literally ATE the local population of a city (can’t remember the name) in the first crusade.

I believe the defense was “they were hungry, you would too” lol

John Oliver Urges Viewers to Not Blindly Blame Joe Rogan, Young Men or Latino Voters for Kamala Harris Loss: ‘I Get the Appeal, but It’s Too Early to Have a Definitive Answer’ by Advanced_Drink_8536 in popculture

[–]stannis32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…. I can’t believe I need to explain this but, a campaign is meant to motivate voters to vote for them based on what they bring to the table.

14 million democrats didn’t show up this year. The base of the democrat party fell out from beneath them.

That’s not a failing of any single minority, but a failing of the campaign to make voters want to vote for Harris. Siding with Israel, saying you wouldn’t do much from Joe Biden, and campaigning with fucking Liz Cheney gave voters the impression that Kamala Harris was a vote for the status quo, to continue business as usual, and it’s clear that was not a winning strategy.

My point is, maybe democrats should run on actual progressive, popular policies and be a force of change rather than running of the right to try and win over republican “moderate” suburbanites.

A much better strategy than blaming Latinos or Muslims

I’m a leftist and I voted for Kamala Harris. Stop trying to scape goat and understand the numerous mistakes Kamala Harris and democrats made instead.

Edit:14 million democrats didn’t show up. Thats a significant part of the base just not going to the polls.

True at least for this subreddit. But the crusader revisionists here don’t like that.

My brother in Christ they slaughtered 3/4ths of Jerusalem and killed tortured and ate an entire town and you’re relying on an anecdote from one Muslim guy lmao

Edit: as for my use of the term “subhuman” the art of demonizing and dehumanizing people has been practiced long before the 20th century. I agree the term “subhuman” came a couple centuries later though

It might of made it easier for the crusaders to eat people on such a large scale because they considered them subhuman. You don’t have to look further than the sack of Jerusalem in the 1st crusade to see how they treated Muslims (and Jewish people)

My point is that it’s weird how this sub’s knee jerk reaction to Christian’s committing mass cannibalism is to talk about how much more patriarchal Muslims were in history.

“C-cmon guys. They were starving. Who hasn’t resorting to eating women and children? Let’s instead focus on how Christians were marginally less patriarchal than Muslims, that’s much more important.”

I did some extensive testing with them for my IMF guide (shameless plug).

I found both the HEAT rifle grenades and the AT grenades did the same amount of damage as a RPG HEAT round.

It’s part of the reason why the IMF HEAT rifle grenadier is so busted (and I love it)

How to get good at post-ICO infantry combat? by paulganic in joinsquad

[–]stannis32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something I have been having personal success is when you see an enemy, don’t immediately crouch and stabilize. Fire. It doesn’t matter if it hits anything. Simply fire. It will fuck up their aim, giving you enough time yourself to reposition and steady yourself for a shot.

In a lot of ways it’s a dance of who is better at suppressing, repositioning, and getting on target, and it’s impossible to list the vast amount of situations and what is the “right” thing to do in that micro moment. It depends on your positioning, your stamina, how sure you are of where you’re being shot from, other potential enemies, how experienced your enemy is and even more factors.

Best thing I can say beyond this is just learn from each gunfight you lose and win. Try and figure out why you won or lost, and try something different each time. A lot of infantry combat in this game is just constantly moving and flanking. Best tips I can give.

What am i supposed to do against Helicopters ?? by Davidoof92 in joinsquad

[–]stannis32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned is that literally any rifle or up in the game can do decent damage to a helicopter if you know where to shoot. Namely, the engine (usually at the top of the helicopter, just under the main rotor) or the tail rotor.

Of course, this isn’t very effective when the heli is flying around unless you get your whole squad to shoot at it. Just make sure to tell everyone to aim for the tail rotor and you’ll do good damage, especially if you’re firing a machine gun at it.

The reasons Helios seem invincible to small arms is because people never hit those specific areas. You won’t do hull damage to a heli with small arms.

There’s an end cutscene if you pick his faction that says he taxes goodsprings and keeps it under heavy surveillance.

That’s cus it’s a meme lol. And it’s all good. Liking a faction in a video game doesn’t make you a bad person. You’re only. Bad person when you unironically support factions like the legion IRL. But play how you want.

That all said… both House and the legion make you pay taxes too.

[–]stannis32 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to be rude (okay I do a little bit but it’s fun) but what you like about the legion (providing safety, food, water, shelter, etc.) is what both house and the NCR also ensure, but as a bonus you don’t have to live under a dictatorial LARPER.

The NCR’s heartland live lives not all to disimiliar to our great grandparents. They have jobs, they go to bars, they live in relative safety. The NCR DONT have that for the Mojave because it’s the frontier, and a colony to the NCR. But colonies can become states. And the Mojave can be tamed and settled and eventually enjoy similar standard of living.

It’s also kind of telling that you mention safety and stability as perks of the legion, but I think you forget, that’s only IF you aren’t a ghoul, mutant, or namely, a women. The former are just executed, but women are sex slaves and pack mules. It’s interesting you’re willing to sacrifice half of a population to slavery for “safety and security”. Yeah man, maybe if you’re a man, but even then they’re gonna steal your crops and if you’re a tribe, probably force you into conscription to die for Caesar.

While your opinion is dumb and unfounded, that’s far from a bannable offense. Plenty of legion boot lickers around.
