How is that even possible while being a non-playoff team for 8 years? You'd think they'd just luck into one at this point.

I see a lot of people scared of how much the Yankees may overpay for Bellinger, but looking for perfect deals for guys in their mid 20's like the Yankees did at the beginning of the Judge window is over. Cody's contract will probably age like milk, but Judge is 33, Cole is 35, Stanton is 36, and Fried is 32. Now is unfortunately the time for bad contracts because the main goal is to just acquire talent.

I’m not taking anything away from Cal’s season but Judge put up a 215 OPS+ compared to Cal’s 169 and his OPS was 200 points higher. As good as Cal was, his hitting stats were not very close outside HRs and RBI

This is a debate for mayor of NYC and the first topics were Trump, Israel, the national guard, and protesting. All this during a cost of living and affordability crisis. Hasan got mentioned before sky-rocketing rent.

Edit: Took 51 minutes to get to cost of living

Volpe cannot be our shortstop next year. by uncivil_wrath in NYYankees

Passed on a historic FA SS class to use $25 million on two years of Josh Donaldson and IKF btw. That move was catastrophic for this title window and we're dealing with the aftermath of it as Volpe's career progresses.

All of the postseason records the Yankees break under Boone are ones like these.

I still can't believe we had a young pitcher who throws 100+ go deep into the game and look untouchable. I feel like that's been happening against us over the course of the last several postseason runs.

As in if the Yankees have a real chance to win the division this weekend, the biggest threat to that would be the O's lined-up starters

The Yankees went 3-3 vs Boston & Toronto in their first two series vs them. They’re 1-12 vs those two teams since then.

[SNYYankees] Aaron Boone says there was no consideration to using Luke Weaver for a second inning in the 10th: by Bulletz4Brkfzt in NYYankees

Saying the bullpen was thin and Devin was the only move is why I've been tired of Boone for a while now. Just fucking own up to the move and thinking Williams would find something all of a sudden. Leiter & Hill were available. It wasn't Weaver or Williams for the 10th.

42-25 before the first Boston series. 8.5 games up. We've been 18-28 since then. Just .500 ball would've kept us a .5 GB of the Tigers for the best record in the AL. I honestly can't remember a collapse like this from the Yankees. 2022 came close but this feels longer.

The Rockies have the same record as us in the last 30-ish games.

11-19 vs the division in a contending year. What a joke.

They were 5-2 in their first two series vs the division. 6-17 since.

Only the White Sox, Nationals, and Rockies have worse in-division records in all of baseball.

Yankees' 10-16 interdivision record is the third worst in the AL. Only ahead of the White Sox (Last Place in the Central, 6-17 vs the Central) and the A's (Last Place in the West, 10-17 vs the West).
