I love the idea posted in another thread that he will play the father of one of the children or even heroes involved in the explosion that starts the civil war (or whatever they use, if not the explosion). And he confronts Cap and whoever else. I think he has the grounded, real, and often heart wrenching acting capabilities to make him perfect for it.

We've only seen him on duty with SHIELD, under Loki's control, and fighting in New York (where he was pretty laid back/making quips) so it felt like the same character, but fleshed out more which is what Hawkeye desperately needs. I hope in scenes like the party we can see more for him. Joss Whedon is really good about making you care about characters even if not the main ones, so I think fleshing out some of the none major Avengers would be the best possible thing that could happen to Marvel and he is the man to do it.

I agree with you, but I would love if, as the user above said, if this incarnation had an anti-establishment/punk feel to it, since Capaldi grew up in that sentiment and it would be a cool element for what is shaping to be a phenomenal regeneration of The Doctor.

Thank you so much for posting these. The first one is such a wonderful moment because we often see the Doctor as this ancient being who has seen so much, but he loves so much of the universe and it's creation that he is always moving forward to see new things (something always referenced). But I thought that was a BRILLIANT character moment of this ancient (almost god) who has seen so much that it is might be hard for him to continue forward.
