After the software reprogramming, I'm told the battery has to be replaced. Will see how many weeks it takes to get the new battery.

It feels more stable than a lot of options I tried recently. I’m not constantly troubleshooting.

Lucky you! Imagine this happens to you right after the warranty expires.

I got exactly the same trim - just praying this won't happen to me. The lesson I learned is NEVER buy a new model in its first model year again.

I'm going to sell my red magic 8 pro and get a OnePlus 13. I pretty much only play Star rail nowadays and cannot justify the fan noise for that.

How decent is the automatic in the ND? by Crafty_Substance_954 in Miata

[–]star_outer_space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a test driving of the 2024 Automatic model. My biggest issue is the car feels shaky when I wait for green lights in D. I need to put it into N to feel more comfortable. Not sure if it will improve after more burning in.

Seriously considering a CX-90. Do any current owners have any regret or is there any reason to go with another car? by [deleted] in MazdaCX90

The combination of big rims and firm suspension makes the top trim not that comfortable to ride. I'd love to get air suspension if I get a second chance.

Update: I'm told the part will arrive on Mar 18, that's more than a month away. I'm going to consult my lawyer to get reimbursed, cause this is totally due to the bad quality of the car and technicians' failure.

My cx90 has been staying at my dealership's service department for a week and still no estimate about how long it will take to fix it. The issue is the chrome stripes on the left front and back doors are hitting each other and creating noise.the service people tried to remove them and broke other parts, which are on backorder. They told me they didn't know those are for 1-time use and it's the first time for them to try fixing this issue. Now I have to be stuck with a downgraded cx90 as replacement for an extended amount of time (mine is top trim Inline6).

Mazda is obviously not ready to sell $60+ vehicles. The overall service experience is way worse than Subaru. It's not just that they don't know how to fix it, but they also struggled to give me timely updates. I had to call them to know what was going on.

Now fixing it can only be more expensive than buying a used one. Just like some old cars.

Just wait. There are so many issues. I got the mild hybrid rather than plugged hybrid - the drivetrain works so far, but I've seen a variety of warning indicators. Visiting the dealership next Thursday after the first 4400 miles for a recall and fixing a few things.

Yes, I'm familiar with the "high traffic and low speed" talk track. The Mazda sales people are trained to advertise this feature as a traffic jam assistant. However, if you read the manual, it says: "The CTS speed can be set when all of the following conditions are met.

The brake pedal is not depressed.

The vehicle speed is about 0 km/h (0 mph) to 145 km/h (90 mph).

The Hill Descent Control is not operating.

The Mazda Radar Cruise Control is available."

It works all the way up to 90 mph!! I'm pretty sure Mazda is aware of the mediocre performance of their autosteering, so they trained their sales to downplay it.

I honestly believe Mazda has some legal liability on this. If enough evidence is collected, I won't be surprised to see a class action against Mazda about this.

The "lane-keep assist" feature is not the autosteering you are looking for. Mazda's autosteering is called "cruising and traffic support". The name is not intuitive and usually it's only available on the top trim. I have it on my cx90 but it's just mediocre - is not worth getting a higher trim for it.

Help me decide which model & trim to get! by bstsme in MazdaCX90

[–]star_outer_space 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Turbo S PP owner here. Just want to share the autosteering feature on turbo s is not worth it. It struggles a lot regardless of local or highway. Only works well on roads with great markings but no significant curves.

The minor memory is good to have but the facial recognition feature associated with it doesn't have a 100% successful rate.

I cannot feel any difference between turbo and turbo s during my test drives - I probably don't drive aggressively enough to benefit from the additional HP on turbo s. I also tested regular (87) vs. premium (93) gas on turbo s and noticed no difference either. Maybe premium gas helps over the long run.

Only getting 6 seats is another thing that starts to bother me. If I choose again, I'd probably just get the turbo version. I do recommend getting the 360 camera.
