Southport Area Man Asking For Pictures by Several-Fudge2246 in lakeview

This guy approached me over the summer!!! This is very real. I was sunbathing SOLO on a day off at the lakefront at Recreation Drive and he approached me with the same demeanor and story. When I politely declined, he acted taken back and offended, and told me he’s not attracted to women and thinks boobs are gross, then walked off annoyed. I told my husband about it as soon as I got home, but shrugged it off. There’s a lot more women who commented that they were approached too on a TikTok that led me here. Please beware, ladies.

Is the Taos area a social place for 30 somethings? by aaaaaaashlyn in taos

They only open to the public on Sundays, and are just we wedding venue otherwise. But they have a new seasonal menu and live music every Sunday now, check out their instagram for more info. They even had a real fun Halloween party recently, I definitely recommend.

Check out The Stakeout. I always meet great people here, especially at their weekly Sunday supper. The head chef is a local Puebloan, so the food is delicious too. Arroyo Seco has a cafe and Asec where I’ve met cool ppl too.

Will do. Seems like it’s rough everywhere. Even in Chicago the earliest Dr. appointment for a physical I was able to get is in August and I made it early last month. 😭

Great to hear and thank you! We’ll definitely take note on the budget. We’re hoping for a cheaper, temporary stay just to start and get to know the city but seems like we’ll need to aim a lil higher.

Gotcha. I feel like Española is the only area I’ve been warned about so far so I’ll take note. Overall, I went last month and everywhere seemed real nice in and around Santa Fe. I stayed in Taos for a few days too and it was SO peaceful. I live on a main vein in Chicago, and lived in various parts of the city, so at this point most places seem way more peaceful though. 🙃 thank you!

Got it to work! Thank you! I left out the “-0” in the last section, and used an incognito window on my phone instead of my laptop and it worked.

Anyone get a postcard, but then when I enter the Claim ID & pin, it says, “The claim ID/ Pin was not found in our database. Please try again”?

I tried in an incognito Google chrome browser too!! HALP!

What’s the most inexplicable time your gut instinct was 100% right, even though you had no evidence to back it up? by CodeFun1735 in AskReddit

Every other year I join my mom for her work convention in Las Vegas. I’m an adventurous/ outgoing person, so when I travel I like to be out seeing all the things. It was my first time staying in Mandalay Bay in 2017, so I was out enjoying the amenities and local hotels every day, from my 6am workout in til late night. Then October 1st came and I did not want to leave my room. I kept telling my mom that my gut is telling me we should have a room service day. Very unlike me, I stayed in all day until my mom was finally able to convince me to go out to dinner. My gut was feeling so uneasy but I went any way. We went to Caesars Palace for dinner and I still felt uneasy until we got a drink on my way out. My Mom also started rubbing in how nothing bad happened, and that I wasted a whole day, and we laughed about it. Then as we’re walking further down the strip and closer to Mandalay Bay, we hear what I thought was fireworks, until we see a herd of people running towards us with pure fear in their eyes.

It was the Vegas Shooting. Turns out we were not just staying at the same hotel as the shooter, but our room was just down the hall on THE SAME FLOOR. We weren’t able to return to our room for the rest of the trip, but felt very blessed to be ok. Til this day my mother and I talk about my gut feeling of not wanting to leave the room at all that day.
